In October 2022 we wrapped a giant mile-long scarf wrapped SEVEN times around the Royal Albert Hall to raise awareness of Lewy body dementia. The scarves were knitted by our supporters across the country and indeed from across the world.
The huge scarf project - #AScarfForLewy - was the charity’s way to show support for those living with Lewy body dementia, raising awareness of this very often misdiagnosed condition, and to symbolise the wraparound support available for those living with the disease.
We were joined on the day by actress Susan Hampshire and panto legend Christopher Biggins who were both wonderful and spent so much time talking to people living with LBD and those who have cared for loved ones with the disease, as well as doing media interviews. Thanks also to the Lord Mayor of Westminster Cllr Hamza Taouzzale who dropped by in his chain to show his support.
