It was more so that ok here is Some people who are doing something more formatted without it really working yet for the people who got on it. Yes, other women do create competition and trash talk others (much like you are doing), but it's mostly because we are encouraged to do so. As a longtime fan of Lilly, I agree with everything that you said. I was so excited for her when she announced her show but I found it disappointing. I'm kind of relieved to hear that a lot of it was due to the conditions that she had to work under because I still really hope she succeeds. But also, I feel like in recent years, she's changed and become more entitled and less receptive to constructive criticism, which she always seems to attribute to discrimination. I respect her mission in trying to get equality for women and minorities, as a woman of colour myself. But I often don't agree with some of the messages. For example, a lot of the time I hear "well people respect white men who are overconfident, condescending and bossy so women and people of colour should be able to do that as well". However, it's always been my opinion that instead of changing society so that everybody is respected when they're overconfident, condescending and bossy, why don't we instead change society to expect everybody to be more modest, respectful and patient?

My favorite part is that all of her complaints.....are literally valid for the previous host of the same show, in the same time slow, that ran for 2000+ episodes and wasn't cancelled immediately. So it wasn't a budget issue, or a support issue from the studio, because Craig made it work. It must have been....something else. This is a great post. Lily did what all of these DIY entertainers seem to: Once they meet a certain level of success, they get super woke and change the message behind their content. It stops being primarily about entertainment and pivots to full on ideological activism. The actual content tanks and when reviews are horrible, the creators blame racist misogynist transphobes for not being "ready."

You cannot possibly assume her audience distribution for the show, she gets real statistics of that to plan her content, it's not her fault that 96 episodes were to be shot in 3 months. That's exactly why she spoke of how women are given more to deal with than men and how women should just feel grateful to be at the table, she is smart enough to understand this fine print or pattern behind the scenes and she calls it out everytime she gets a chance. Talking about her, repeatedly calling herself a bisexual south Asian on the show itself shows exactly how insane and rare it is in the field, so that's just how impactful the show was meant to be. The content being cringe worthy cannot be more than the timing mistake because this is not new to her, this is who she has always been. She started out on RU-vid the same way, she can always make relatable and witty and interesting content even if she is way out of her comfort zone. She did speak about how her content got out of her hands eventually and she even gave up her superwoman tag and her RU-vid regular uploads for this. That just speaks for how badly she worked for it. Despite all of that, she simply pointed out everything that went wrong this time and why she did what she did, she didn't even defend her content on the show. She spoke what led her to become so unrelatable.
