Kimmy Beatbox explores this year's theme by delivering an unforgettable special performance Kimmy Lawrence, aka Kimmy Beatbox, is one of the UK’s top beat-boxers and is a trailblazer of modern culture and street-style. Growing up in Manchester, Kimmy learnt her craft through busking and impersonating the sounds of instruments and beats she loved. Pretty soon after moving to London she was discovered by her management team whilst delivering one of her mesmerising performances on Tottenham Court Road, since then she has been working on her debut EP which will be a mixture of beat-boxing and poetry. For now though you can usually find her cruising through London with her skateboard and speaker in tow This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
