I usually, almost all the time verifies information I hear or read if it's possible. That said I have to admit that a fact I going to mention here I haven't verified, yet. I do know why because it was a MD and a nurse (experts) telling me and a few other this 15 years ago when we met. It usually don't hold me back, I check the truth anyway if it can 😁. First a little background. Humans and Rhesus Macaques are quite close related. Our common ancestry lived 25 million years ago. Alongside Chimpanzees and Humans, Rhesus Macaques are the first primate who've got their DNA genome sequenced and the first Old World monkey to have its DNA deciphered. The three primate species share about 93 percent of their DNA but there are some differences among their genes. Having the three primates genome sequenced and the DNA deciphered means they have three reference points while studying similarities and differences between them. Because rhesus macaques are so close to us they're considered being great lab animals and are used in so many researches. It's drive me crazy thinking about it and it makes me so sad but now to why I've written so lengthy is that 15 years ago the MD and the nurse told me that when humans don't get enough nutrition the first thing the body do is to redirect the resources it usually gives hair and nails because it's not important to the humans survival. For rhesus macaques it's different. Their fur is a little bit more important but I've seen rhesus macaques living with their summer coats during big part of the winter and survived. It doesn't mean they don't might struggle a lot to survive. I don't know about that but I'm guessing. So, Tracey who probably doesn't have mange or some other vermins (something wild rhesus macaques don't get) could be late to have her winter coat because giving birth to a baby and a boy in addition (females create more energy dense milk for boys than for girls) where a lot of her energy goes to create milk for Tinky. Maybe we humans and rhesus macaques isn't that different regarding fur/hair and nails "health" reasons. 🤓🏴☠️🇸🇪
They're two of my favorite yearlings and it's good to see them hanging out together, they're going to need each other in a few short years when they're out on their own. Dipsy's coat is beautiful, not a hair out of place, 10:22. That's mama Reddy's grooming for you.
Having watched your for video's some time, this is actually a troop that really needs a bit more investigating since they have periodically taken an absence from a area with a known supplemental food source for periods of time before, but usually a great deal shorter periods than five or more weeks. Lets face it with any primate food is in the top places on their list of needs: food, more food, any food, did I mention food? They are either foraging or eating or both unless asleep. and will other social things such as grooming either with one eye out for forage to grab while grooming or while masticating awat on what's in the cheek pouch. There i very little other than more or better food that would keep them away from a known and routine source of food for long at all and the disappearances that seem to come shortly after birthing season have seemed to get longer year after year. So I wonder if they have learned of a place that will provide abundant food, even if just for a short period, but gives them food without much or any competition, such as a lot of leavings in an area that has a food source havesteed - maybe orchards that they have found worth traveling and visiting or some other harvest. What if anything would be going on for at least a week or even more, and has a bit of travel distance. We have had troop absence themselves during a harvest season and actually follow the harvest for several weeks getting not only great sources of foods but sources of foods that they would normally not get, just by moving into fields or orchards that have been harvested and they feast on broken, dropped, discarded harvest as well as stems and leaves that are by products of harvest as not for human consumption but are good foods and feed for primates.
💕💕💕9:16 Notice how Spotty is walking behind Tinky and keeping a close eye out . Spotty knows what’s up. Spotty even stops to look back to be sure no followers
I noticed that too and thought it was impressive that a young male was so attentive over a baby, even trying to pick Tinky up and carry him a couple times. Arroz called Spotty Tracy's niece, but I thought he was a he and went back to check, and sure enough he's got a pair of dingleberries. Spotty just won some brownie points with me, sweet boy. I guess Tracy doesn't have any older daughters to help her? Sure would be helpful since she's an older mom and babies require a lot of energy and attention. Let's hope Spotty sticks around her. Or I'm sure there are many young females who would love to help, or even Rudy (better than Bolly or Dy!).
His rear end bout flips over his head a couple of times! Reminds me of teeny a bit when she’s just beginning to run down the road to forage crumbs. Lol. I think Tinky’s my favorite new baby.
Well, an older mom having a late in the season baby, Tracy is going to be deficient in in many of the vitamins and minerals taht a primate needs when shedding a coat and growing a new one, and with a six week old baby she is still having to give almost all she eats into milk production to support baby. "Meals on Wheels" may give foods, like bread, that make them feel full but then the end up foraging les for the foods to fill up on that give them what they really need. She does seem to be concentrating on the beans and peanuts, so her body is driving her to the right foods but think about what new moms really are eating when they birth an infant early in a baby season. Just natural forag would be providing them more fruits and berries and young shoots, all of which are packed with vitamins and Tracy just has not of that available, The best thing for her, so she is not freezing come cold weather would be to get supplemental fruits and yams and some leavy veggies..
Fly over there to run things for her, why don’t you? These are wild animals that have survived for thousands of years w/out our interference. Yes, some babies due & don’t make it but hey, that’s Mother Nature in action
I can't take my eyes of this tine dots, all of them , I believe we all loving them small and big ans how they manage their surviving ability and I see they love you back. It is a beautiful thing.....
Well I’m glad you chose a bunch of random people u don’t know to tell about it. I’m sure we can get something done for u. I seen teenie with a phone the other day I can ask her if u can use it.
Hello gang hope everyone is well! Someone please help me who is Tracy's mother because I just don't remember her growing up it's just like all of a sudden she was part of our gang and I know it's me I just don't remember her
Absolutely! He’s got walkin down but @ 9:25 he’s runnin tryin to catch mum & I must say he’s a lotta Teeny in him when she’s his age. He looks like his rear end’s bout to flip over his head! lol. Actually bout does halfway through. He ends up catchin himself sideways. Bless him. Tries to hop on Spotty a couple times to catch mum.
Awe, poor ol gal... She looks like she has mange.🥺 poor little Tinky can barely hold on with mama's fur almost gone 😢💔 I sure hope her fur starts growing back before the bitter cold sets in.😥❣❣❣ I have grown to love these babies so much and care so much for their welfare. Thank you Arroz for all of your videos about these sweet little beings, Another of God's greatest gifts. 🥰🐒🥰🤗😍😘
If possible please put your film date in the description so we know when this actually took place. You are all over the place with your timeline. And It is December 27th however, this was likely filmed in September as no way a 6 week old baby would be around at this stage of the year.
Just a quick questionb.Im just learning about the heirciey.if reddy for example doesn't have any baby girls, will she go down in rank? And does the lower ranking that has girls go up in rank? Thanks in advance for your help.
Animals are really clever. What is really neat is when a human can tell what the animal is asking or telling. Not all people are attuned to animals. You read the monkeys really well and I love it. The people that carry big sticks to keep the monkeus away have no idea what jot they are missing. You, on the other hand are helping us get through the quarantine. Who can be sad when we know we have cute baby monkeys to watch. Thank you. Stay safe.
Poor Tinky he can barely hang on, her coat seems to be thinning more & more 😔 and I knew this was going to happen she was walking to fast for Tinky to keep up smh
It looks to me, as if Tracy has some sort of Skin Infection? her skin looks sore in places and she appears to 'wince' when Tinky was climbing on her back and clutching onto her skin @ 7:01 I sure hope Tracy grows more hair for the little one to hold onto. (Great toe tapping tune @7:01 too!) Thanks for the great videos Arroz.

Tracy seemed to have forgotten her baby as she was wandering down the hill, Tinky was struggling to keep up and most mothers would’ve picked him up. Definitely she’s failing and his survival is threatened by her not being as agile in mind and body.
Ronda Lee is right. Tina’s family’s in Skull Head not “our gang” whom Arroz generally films. However, when needin a Teeny fix click “The Story of Teeny” in Playlists on his channel. There’s 93 Teeny films there. Also, click Videos and scroll back as he’s done 3-4 on her in the past few weeks. 😎
