I love your videos and I love seeing these monkeys, they look happy and healthy. Unlike the videos of those monkeys in Cambodia. They look sick with awful coats. Those babies always look scared and the mothers are so stressed they are mean to the babies. The only thing the babies in our gang need to worry about is being weaned!

@Christina 84. He’s still a year younger than most males that get pushed out of the troop. They don’t leave until ages 4-5 and Dopey & peers were just getting ready to turn 4
Dopey, once the slowest baby, now on his own doing better than expected, all while Buddy back with his natal troop completely giving up being on his own 👏🏼🤯🐵... Dopey is gonna be Alpha of his own troop one day💯💪🏼🐵
Watching these monkeys have been a joy. But right now my heart is broken. Monkeys trrops in Cambodia just got culled. Slot died from darts. So many just had newborn babies.

Thank you for the Christmas present Arroz!! Dopey is the coolest. All he needs is sunglasses. Gotta hand it to Reddy. She made her premie baby Dopey ready and set him up perfectly for adult monkey life. She taught him well. He grooms himself as meticulously as she groomed him when he was a tyke. She always knew you’d have snacks. He knows you have snacks. He lip-smacked at you Arroz! I laughed aloud at that! He’s one handsome dude. I’m always going to love the Dopester.
It's obvious that he recognizes you. It would be so cool if he could stroll over, shake your hand and give you a hug. And when he gets his sweet potato (that he knew was coming) he could tell you all about his travels since leaving home. But, we know that's not going to happen. It's still nice to see him again. Hi Kathy, when I saw Dopey's chest of light gray hair I thought he got that from Reddy. I've always loved her coloring, that pretty shade of gray and of course her red face. Beautiful, unique lady monkey. But then I noticed the other males had gray hair too, so maybe I was projecting a bit. Who knows?!
Some of these great teenage boys who babysit for their brothers and sisters and even groomed mom. It's such a shame to see Dopey and the other guys having to groom themselves. All those good skills that they learned should be put to use with each other. There should be "bro" grooming!. His eyes don't seem as cheerful but glad he has friends.

Dopey will always remember you, Arroz. You were a fundamental part of his childhood from the very beginning. There has never been a cuter infant the Dopey, bar none! I'm so glad you still get to see him from time to time and can share him with us.
To me, it's how expressive his eyes are. I haven't really thought about the shape of his eyes or compared them to others though, so I'll have to check that out too.
