A SHOCKING Reveal for RPG Fans - Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the 7 Breakdown 

this one might become a hidden gem ; as a classic jrpg lover, i'll give it a shot

I've been saying for years they should make a remake of RS2 like they did with Minstrel Song, which was a remake of RS1. Never thought they'd actually do it though. Looking forward to it.

Just to be clear, it isn't exclusive to the Switch. It's also coming to PC via Steam and PS4/5.

I definitely didn't see this one coming. RS2 really is one of like three or so SaGa games that I always thought would benefit from a remake - the other two being Frontier and Unlimited - I'm definitely excited for this one! That said though, is it just me or is this artstyle uncharacteristically generic for a SaGa game? I always really liked how distinct and interesting the previous games were visually. This looks more like one of the modern Ys games than a SaGa game to me.

This game definitely caught me by surprise in the June Nintendo Direct. I finally was able to get around to talking a little about it. Did you guys know this series existed and what's your thoughts on some of the mechanics displayed in the reveal trailer?

I don't expect amything from the reviews because SaGa is just too unique and never got high metacritic scores and journalists want handholding and when possible not a hard experience but here losing is a big part of the game. I'd only trust the opinion of a gamer with some SaGa experience.
