Apologies to you all for the lack of videos this month. It has in all honesty been a very stressful month of work and scheduling but I seem to be a little more on track now so will put something out soon. Appreciate you patience folks!

greaqt video. a couple of questions, would you use high density can foam to fill the gap,l know these's a cheap foam that looks like esky foam and a more expensive can foam that's more like surfboard foam. the other question is , the clear coat you put over the finished job 1 is that just a can of clear spray you get at Bunnings or any hardware store , thanks from Keith in Melbourne Vic

Ola! So in the case of this particular job you probably could use a cheap builders foam from a can, only because the foam only provided the shape for my glass to wrap too, not any kind of structure. I could remove the foam now and it wouldn't effect the structure of the job. If it were a surfboard, sup or clubby board where the foam is required for structure, I wouldn't be using builders foam. That stuff is a very low density and full of air because of the way its expelled from the can. The clear coat is the same make as the paint, MOLOTOW. They do both a matt and a gloss clear. You'll find it at either art supply shops or graffitti supply shops. It's insanely high quality like their coloured paints, extremely weather resistant and strong. Hope that helps and cheers for watching! 🤙

Good times! The spray paint is MOLOTOW paints and yes, although this ski is Poly, I believe I did the whole repair in Epoxy in this case 🤙

Good advice. So, I don't think about fisheyes and the like... It must be them thinking about me, then! 😅

Man, how much are those rattle cans each? You coming from the auto body world, would it not be more cost effective to have used cellulose?

They are cheap compared to automotive products. Minimal overspray, no clean up or nasty chemicals needed for cleanup, strong, light and UV resistant. Can’t beat um

I have a small delam bubble on the bottom of a Bark prone board. Any advice on best way to attack it? Hoping to not have to cut or sand out the glass. Prob a 2.5 inch diameter “bubble”

The only way I can reccomend the fix is to remove the glass. It's small enough that I would avoid cutting it and just try to sand it out but, that's the way the cookie crumbles sadly. If it's not taking in water, no rush to get it done. Just make sure you keep eyes on it incase it gets worse

Yea small and not taking on water. Just don’t want it to progress and become a bigger problem/fix

what do you use to polish the boards?

I'm using a 3D ACA510 premium rubbing compound.
