My son purchased one of your CBG’s for me as a Christmas gift. Tuned it to open E, sounds great. A little buzzy with a slide, but I think it’ll go away if I tune it to open G and stress the neck a little. Yep, I was right. Nice piece of gear, quite pleased. 👍🏻👍🏻
Just a quick question : how do you deal with the grounding, when going the one pickup, straight to the jack output with no volume knob route ? Just going from the pickup to the jack, or is there a ground wire somewhere linked to to the strings via the tailpiece ? Thanks ! (and your builds are a big inspiration, thanks for that.)
To ground (or earth as we say in the UK) the guitar, its the a strings than need to be grounded, so it doesn't matter if the pickup is wired straight to the jack or if it has volume and tone controls.the principle is the same in each case.
