I personally don’t think so unless you hit it big and sell thousands of copies per month, with multiple books. But paperbacks are where all the money is
Hi I’ve been watching your videos for 2 days now, all your contents are very informative. I’m launching a new book and this helps me a lot. Please continue to upload informative videos.
You offered awesome content here, Ken! My #1 KDP guy on RU-vid :) One question regarding the reviews that comes from Facebook. Does Amazon allow you to write reviews for books that the user did not purchase through Amazon? Thanks a lot! Keep going!
Glad you’re enjoying it! They’re allowed to leave reviews but they don’t come up as “verfified” reviews. However, If you collect readers before launch you can get them to download the free book during your promo and it’ll be verified
When I missed doing ads and relaunched within the first 14days because of an error in the manuscript is the game over or should I just run 100$ ads for the next 14 days? It is a word search and my first book. I simply am afraid I wont do any sale due to this failed launch. Do you have any advice?
I would just continued on as normal. It’s still a new book and it will be fine! Don’t be too strict with it. Do the best you can and move onto the next book as long as there is demand a book can still do well at any point. Jusr start the launch now and that’s no problem. Your book can still get seen through ads and such regardless of your launch. So if it’s good, has reviews, and there is demand start some ads and see if you can boost its ranking.
@@KenSelfPublishing 100$ for a beginner is pretty much investment. Is it realistic to generate some sales even without ads nowadays or do you really need a fanbase or ads to get some dollars out of the work? I mean I am currently investing hundreds of dollars in this business already without having seen any single cent. Or is it simply necessary to invest tons of money first and lose money in the beginning to learn from this?
Love your videos Ken! Do you have an updated email address to inquire about strategy calls? The address on your lading page was returned to me and said it could not be found.
Awesome action packed. Concise very useful summary. I am launching again in 6 weeks and this is a great checklist as I always forget to do one thing or the next! 😢😢😢
Great video, thanks for sharing. I run a weekly newsletter for my audience and I would love to include you for some interview questions about high content books. Regards, Danny
Great video! When you send people a free copy on Facebook how do you know they won't steal your book? Any tips? Also isnt it a huge problem if people are reading for free not a verified purchase? Also I went on pubby and to get snaps and review other books i first need to upload my book. Does that mean my book needs to already on amazon selling? Thanks for any help Edited: seen some bad reviews about pubby because most people arent actually reading the book obviously and so the reviews seem fake, wrong audience, theyre just copying the book title or description. My book is for female audience in a very specific genre so not sure.
1. You can add a watermark across your manuscript!- But most of the time people wont be inclined to steal. They dont even know Amazon KDP is a thing and wouldnt know what to do with it 2. No its not. There is nothing wrong with someone reviewing a book without buying, it just comes up as an unverified purchase. What you can do: When you run your free promo nudge them multiple times to download the book during this period, then their review will come up verified. 3. Im not sure. I thought there was a way to use pubby before hand. It might be worth inquiring with their customer service. Pubby Reviews: This definitely happens but it's not the majority. 95% of the reviews I get on pubby are well thought out and curated, you get the odd person who doesn't care but you can actually get refunded snaps from Pubby if you're not happy with the quality of the review. But of course, if you don't feel comfortable with Pubby then try the Facebook review method!
Sorry for all of the questions but when i add the page in my book asking for reviews how do I add a link or qr code? Once I've uploaded it on to amazon I'm assuming I can't go back and add pages? So how do I get the link beforehand? Thanks!
You can update your manuscript when your book is live as much as you want. So you'll have to upload the ebook, get the ASIN and QR created on a page, then add that page to the PDF. Its just a process that has to be done. But yes you can update your manuscript as much as you want! DOnt be afraid to make updates if you see mistakes in your book after launch.
God bless you brother 🙏 I'm a beginner and released 5 high content books without a launch process. I wast just uploading them and praying to god. Rightnow i learned a lot from you and also I wrote a big note from this video and I'll apply this process to my upcoming book. And if i get even one sale it's 100% because of you and i will surely meet you and appreciate you my brother ❤🙏 Thank you🥰
@@KenSelfPublishing Hmm, It seems that i Just find the right keyword for my book. What would that keyword be if my book is "Night in Zagreb" by author Adam Medvidović - me? If you find time to check this out it would mean a lot to me, but your videos are very helpful anyway. Thanks for helping us.
You could probably just send people the PDF version, but it makes it more difficult as low-content books can be activity books or coloring books. But when sending books out early its always the PDF
