Good advice.👍🏻 Brings to mind Romans 12:15 - "Rejoice with those who rejoice; Weep with those who weep." The Chinese equivalent for 'killjoy" is 'sao xing' (扫兴) which literally means "sweeping away the rejoicing". TQ for also teaching values with English. 🙂

Everything was joyful for all those people who used to call themselves to be completely religious and suddenly I popped out from somewhere as a killjoy for them when I talked about women education and women's right to feel this nature.

Hey Mark, thanks for your interesting video. I never knew the word "killjoy". Here in Germany we use the word "Spaßbremse" for that. The direct translation is "fun brake" 😁. Even though Canada is so far away from Germany, we both live in western culture. That's why I understand the meaning of empathy. If my best friend's dad would die, I can't invite my friend to a party or something. This would definitely kiss our relationship good bye. The weather was nice these days, but not unseasonable. Hi Mark! First of all I have to say that your microphone is great, because it was really windy. 👍 It's an interesting word KILLJOY. It's seems to me, that there is no direct analog in Russian. I look at meaning in the dictionary and saw several ones. But in English it's more clearly for me. This sometimes happens when a word in a foreign language is better than in your native language.
