This has been THE MUST ACCURATE video of this kind, showing one person that wakes up early to have enough time to complete everything. Facing the duties of a house. That verify the emails looking for urgencies during the absence, code and having meetings is what normally a Software Engineer does. That is called being productive at work not like some others that are messing around just eating and playing and after 5 hours at work, just spend 3 being really productive. you just gain a SUB.
It is great to hear that you found it interesting. It was challenging to make a video on this topic since everyday is unique. Glad to have you here. What would you like to see next?
Finally! A Software Engineer DITL with a Mom. I see SO many videos of singles with no kids. It feels good to finally see someone with a child. I know we exist but we need more representation on RU-vid.
Holistic Developer I’m a mom, and want to get into tech. I have no background. But I need a career change desperately. How did you get started in tech as a mom?
Hi Kerena, it is so great to hear that you are interested in getting into the tech industry. The past doesn’t matter as much, as long you are dedicated , curious, creative and determined to solve the task on hand. I got into tech many years before I became a parent. There are many ways to get into tech, the path you will go with it depends on your current situation and accommodations you can do. I hope this makes sense. I will be happy to assist and provide any guidance i can, just reach out. Have a great weekend !
I appreciate your kind comment. I am just a human being like anyone else, with strength and weakness, which I am trying to work on as a go day by day. I am sure you are doing an excellent job as well. Thank you again and happy winter holidays.
Awesome, thanks for showing this I'm a mom and I have a soon to be 5 year old and a 18 month old right now and got into a program for coding learning HTML and CSS and loving it so far planning on learning javascript next and create some websites and hopefully get a good resume and portfolio and start looking for a software developer job hoping to get done before the year is up
Wow, I really admire your dedication, it is not easy to do it without kids, i have one and it is challenging that balance it, but with two will be even more challenging, however I have the impression that you can do that and you will make it happen. Keep me in the loop please.
Thanks for the video. Lots of things to learn from you . Love the way you manage job and kid . Everyone is not capable to balance in such amazing way . Such an inspiration . Love you .
@@HolisticDeveloper Thanks a lot for the generous words . I am a web developer . But can't manage my 2 kids (elder one is 3 years old and younger one is 9 months old ). So eventually far from my work now .
Kids require a lot attention and energy. Having 2 kids and taking care of them it is not as easy as it might seem. Just take one day at the time and try to find time for you and what you like, if possible. When time is right you will be able to get back to software engineering if that is what you want. I am sure that your are an amazing person and parent. Best wishes.
@@HolisticDeveloper I'm from Egypt but I had the opportunity to visit Germany , Netherlands , Lebanon,Saudi Arabia , Kuwait & Jordan .. I'm SAP MM Consultant
Awesome that ur daughter promptly sleeps by 7:30 pm My son 8 months old becomes suoer cranky and womt sleep before 11:30 pm I get damn tired and exhausted managing both work and my son
Well, I have days where I might work about 10 hours and days where I work about 6 hours and at the end of the week they average at about 8 to 9 hours a day, but it always depends on projects I am working on and what I have happening in my life.
Not really, I meal prep for 2 weeks in advance. Exception is breakfast, I make it every morning, I prep everything in the evening and put it in an Instapot and in the morning I start it while I do other things.
Hello there. This question is a really complicated one. In my opinion it is not really really easy but also not complicated. It all depends where you are, what experience you have and a lot is on your attitude. So, it is definitely possible. We moved from Europe to USA and it is something that a lot of people do too. Where are moving from? How are you planning to move?
@@HolisticDeveloper We are from Asian country. It is really hard to get a US visa. My previous question means how can you move to the US without a special visa? or did you get a sponsored visa from US company?
Good time of the day. I did not have a special visa nor did got sponsored. We won the Diversity Visa Lottery dvprogram.state.gov/ which is every year. We did not have anything special, we just won the lottery, every year 50000 people can get a visa with this program.
I used to do that, breakfast, run and then work, however after I became a mom, a few things changed and I needed to adjust my schedule in such a way that will allow me to work and spend quality time with my family. I do run, but it is usually later in the day.
@@HolisticDeveloper from experience and also from a friend, my friend works as a microbiology so he showed me the difference, the microorganisms were predominant in the water I left all night than the water I took afterwards from the refrigerator
I am in real need for a developers job in the US. U r like my elder sister if any referal u can give me it would be a really golden oppurtunity for me I m from india I know that i shouldnt be writing all these here but i m really a passionate developer who will graduate this yr. Please can you help me
I understand, however what you are asking it hard to do. A refferal is usually for a person you know and know what skills and abilities the person has, and I hope you understand that I cannot do that since I do not know you. I am wishing you all the best.
