That’s very true, like the book of Job (I think) he was told to marry a prostitute by the Holy Spirit and punish her when she cheated on him. That’s not normal of the Holy Spirit to tell all of us. But it was for Job (again if I’m thinking of the right book).
yes, Hosea. God did not tell him to punish her. He told him to redeem her and buy her out of slavery. God wanted a picture of what it cost Him to redeem His bride from prostitution, and the depth of His great love. He knows we are visual people and we needed an example of what unconditional love looks like.
