Hi I just found your channel and finding your brush painting vid great, see your from Canada, I visited Calgary Canada from UK flying there in 1979 as a young teen on a Wardair plane, on my trip saw and went in my first States cars and was introduced to Testors paints which we didnt have in the UK, anyhow that year I made a model 79 Monogram Firebird Turbo and here I am nearly 45 years later and been collecting models but yet to make another, your vid came at the right time as Ive got a Revell Mustang ready to start on and wish to return to brush painting as find it relaxing. @@MonsterHobbiesModelCarGarage Hi thank you for your reply, I did watch your brush painting upload and it's one of the best i've seen on brush painting, as a youngster I hand painted full size fork lift trucks and a friend worked on London Buses at Hanwell Depot,he had a Ford Cortina mk3 in beige and one of the coach builders painted the car with a brush in black and it was perfect that was in 1983, my first brush painted model I think was a 1/32 scale Monogram 41 Ford in red, around then I had Monogram Triumph TR7, Ford Capri, Quick Silver, it's great returning to model making, im hoping to make some that look like "Promo Dealership" models ie single coloured and some detailed like I used to. Ive always loved cars worked in an American spares shop in London and even owned a 70 GTO Judge with a RA4 heavily modified it did 0 to 60 in 4 seconds, but these days I just love model cars as its more affordable and so much fun. @@SunShine-dk6rk Thank you for letting me know I did well on the brush painting video and for your stories on the real cars and equipment. - I am currently working on another painting video and I am almost finished...and then I will start working on a different painting video using "other" paints. In the meantime, check out my review of the 1926 Citroen B14 Normandy kit. I did something unique on that paint job that I hope you will appreciate.
@@MonsterHobbiesModelCarGarage My pleasure, I look forward to viewing your old and new uploads and the Citroen sounds interesting, it's great finding someone who explains modelling so well, I had Rover P5B,P6B,SD1 these were all powered by Rover V8 engines basically a copy of the old Buick 215 engine hence the B in the name, Gaydon Museum has the Queens P5B and the Prime minister Harold Wilsons, I got mine when they were cheap as a youngster. Painting a model well makes a big difference and i've even heard of people painting diecast models with glass paint, but for me it's the fun of restarting with the basics and learning from your channel.
