Hi Trey, nice video as usual 😊 I have been following you from the start and now the the footage looks much more professional, drone shot was a + as well Concerning your tennis, as a tennis coach, let me first tell you that we can clearly see some overall improvements since the start, much better serve and better technique for overall strokes HOWEVER, what you're lacking is pure tennis strategy and use of the geometry. I would recommend you to come and train two weeks on clay, Spain would be a great choice, to show you another perspective of tennis. Over there, your serve will be almost useless, you will need to topspin each shot, play angles, cross court, accept long rallying... To improve your tennis consistency (you need to be able to play 8x the ball at the same place to) and make better tennis choices so that when you come to the net, you'll win the point easily but you got to do the effort first 😅 Tennis is not playing as hard as you can, but making smart choice and defend your court as much as possible to receive an easy ball that you can crush I'm sure some followers will argue with me, but that's my European tennis education Keep up the good work 😊

At 1:54 if it hits the net, do you not replay the serve? Or is this for just this format of play?
@zachary8033
@zachary8033 27 дней назад
you would replay it if it hit the net and proceeded to land in the service box. It landed behind the service box so it was called out.

@germanslice
@germanslice 28 дней назад
Trey If you let your arm drag all down toward the ground with the ball when pronating the arm dragging will start to pull the ball down toward the net. This is why we have to keep our elbow up during the pronation.
@tennisteuton
@tennisteuton 27 дней назад
Trey has a fundamentally solid serve, and you have a fundamentally solid trolling game. Tennis knowledge? Not so much. Let's leave it at that.
@germanslice
@germanslice 27 дней назад
@@tennisteuton I'm not trolling him, I was coached by a professional coach to pronate the ball using the double bend when pronating the power serves because that stops the wrist from getting exposed to the ball. As its not good to pronate off your wrist joint with a straight arm.
@germanslice
@germanslice 27 дней назад
@@tennisteuton I didn't troll Trey at all. I use the double bend I don't use a straight arm or let drag the arm all down with the ball when I hit because I know if I did that I would be exposing the wrist to the ball and end up pronating it off the wrist.

I know your flat serve is great. But I think as you play more better players, channeling that energy into an aggressive first serve kick will be a great weapon to add.
@alwaysprepared
@alwaysprepared 27 дней назад
Don't give him any ideas! His serve is already a beast! LOL
@petershort936
@petershort936 27 дней назад
main reason I mention this is the easiest thing to get used to is pace...If I see the same fast serve 10-15 times in a row, I start to get better timing on it...harder to do that when you can add in some aggressive variety.
@alwaysprepared
@alwaysprepared 27 дней назад
@@petershort936 I agree that you can get better at returning any type of serve that's repetitive. And you can use pace against them to some extent. But, in practice, people with imposing serves or even just a good serve still have the advantage overall. That's why service breaks are so important, because we all understand the server does have the advantage!

Why play with a screwed up net? The ones next to it look in better shape. What’s the purpose of doing this?
@Winners-Only
@Winners-Only 27 дней назад
I want to play Tennis, its hard to find a court in Austin, and people were playing on the other court when we arrived + it has pickeball lines. That would be the purpose. It's obviously not ideal, but a 4 foot stretch of bad net is not enough to effect my enjoyment of the game.
@danguerra3492
@danguerra3492 27 дней назад
My thoughts too...the only thing I could come up as to why they didn't switch is that it looks like the court with the good net is closer to traffic so the video could pick up road noise...🤷🏻‍♂️

I still wish tennis would change to allow only 1 serve! That would still allow people with huge serves to hit them, but the risk/reward would be like every other stoke in tennis. That would produce a ton more rallies in the average point... I would make an exception for beginners since it's not easy for them to get a serve in the box until they have more experience... You can also use it to handicap a match. Give the lesser player 2 serves and the stronger player only 1 serve, for example...
@grimson
@grimson 27 дней назад
The reason the risk/reward for the serve isn’t the same as every other stroke in tennis is that you have 1/3rd the target. The risk therefore has to be reduced. Weren’t there enough double faults in this match already?
@alwaysprepared
@alwaysprepared 27 дней назад
@@grimson I understand your points, particularly about the smaller target. However, I don't think the double-fault rate would be significantly different. People would adjust how hard to hit their serve to compensate for the risk. Personally, it's kind of boring when someone with a big serve just dominates to the point where there aren't many rallies. I understand that it would totally change the game and possibly make return of serve be the most important shot - there would be service breaks all over the place. I think that would be exciting! Even Trey and Stephan commented about there not being many rallies in this very match! I have a better than average serve for my level, nothing like Trey's serve, though. And I know I can try to blast the first serve anytime I want with no consequences if I miss. Just doesn't seem fair to me.. Obviously, just my personal opinion and you're allowed your opinion, as well..

It's funny how people act like a 95 racket is so hard to use. It's literally 5% less surface area. That equates to 100% placebo effect.

It shows that people haven't played with actual midsize rackets. I played with the yonex Vcore tour 89 for quite awhile. The vcore 95 feels like I have all the surface area in the world. Also the current Vcore 95s are all kinda anemic and require lead
