I got mine in the mail a few days ago. My bezel doesn't line up (exactly like yours - it can be "fixed," but it doesn't naturally like to line up. VERY loose), and the bracelet is a bit sharp in spots, but so far the movement is reliable, and for $70 the value is pretty unbelievable. The case is pretty nice, and the ceramic bezel looks sexy as hell until you inspect it closely and notice it isn't perfectly aligned. Look, it's more than 100 times cheaper than a Rolex, so you get a LOT more than you pay for.
I received mine about a two weeks ago and it has hardly left my wrist. The lume is not nearly as bright as that on my Helm Vanuatu , but I find it does the job, and find I can read the watch in the dark , even after a few hours, so even though it could be better it gets the job done. The screw down crown is rough compared to other watches I have , but dabbing a little silicone grease on the threads seems to smooth it out. I own a Rolex Datejust and it is my go to dress watch, but I’m blown away by how nice this watch looks, especially when you compare it to the real deal. The NH35A movement is running at 4 seconds fast per day, is no slouch and it won’t cost you hundreds of dollars to service...most likely one would just buy an entirely new movement, or a new watch. The service on the Rolex will make you weep when you get the bill...lol. Thanks for the video!
I got this one to see what you get/don’t get for the money. My QC issues are not as bad, no marks on the dial or bezel and less misalignment on the cyclops. There is slight back play on the bezel. And the slightly binding crown. I adjust all of my own bracelets and this was by far the most fiddly to do, one screw refused to come out and the micro adjust I did manage to move over. My clasp is ok but not brilliant. But the dial and bezel are amazingly eye catching and everybody that comments on the watch seems to like it. You cannot miss it with these dimensions. I have a couple of 43/44mm so wear larger watches sometimes. You get a lot for little money but having 3 or 4 issues is probably too many in my book. Compare this with the Steeldive 1970 I just bought and the difference is huge. This is the Turtle homage Capt Willard. Not one QC issue, great finishing/case NH35 and fully lumed ceramic bezel and indices C3 and BGW9. Lights up like a torch. Sapphire Crystal with antireflective coating. £104.99. They do a smaller 41mm Sub homage for about £99 which would probably be far better than the PD. If only they did the Batman...
Honest Watch Reviews That’s a great price, where did you get it so cheap? Steeldiveuk is about the best place to get their watches brand new. Price brackets are £99-£115. Unless you want the Tuna or 62Mas or 55Fathoms homages which are around £135-£160.
Nice video... but I didn't quite understand the comment at 11:20...the Rolex Hulk has no precious metals - it's all stainless steel. Regardless, good production - good work 👍🏼
Great looking watch especially at this price point I would definitely change the rattling bracelet, and wear it with a nice nato or rubber strap however the 21mm lug size is not very common
I prefer the NH35 over the Miyota 8215 movement, but it seems Pagani doesn't make the 40 mm sub homage with the NH35, and this 43 mm is a bit too big...
Have had this one for a while wear it often and enjoy it immensely... is it perfect .. nope but still a spec monster and great value for the money. Great for a first Submariner and then upgrade at you leisure when funds are available. I know the size of this is an issue with other reviewers but on my 7.5 inch wrist it is not that big of an issue. Main Pagani issues (like it's main competitor Parnis) is spotty quality control (my cyclops and bezel alignment are better aligned), poor lum and on the Submariner a 90 click bezel as opposed to 60 or 120 and the 43mm size ... Pagani learned from feedback which is why the Batman is 40mm .. it came well after the Hulk .. no 40mm Hulk ... not yet.
It's nice as a clone, and you're certainly not going to feel robbed at £60. The macro shots definitely do show the cheaper build though, which is a shame. I'm also not sold on the green, the blue however looks cool. The small imperfections are very most likely going to be different from watch to watch.
@@LastWatch I have a Pagani design 1639 in black Very nice watch but the end links and spring bars do rust from swimming and showering, which worries me that they will break in the sea one day ....
Hello, please can you tell me if this version have seiko nh35a movement,or citizen miyota 8215w,and what are the differences between those two movement? Because i have found a similar pagani hulk with miyota instead seiko. Do you think miyota is a downgrade from seiko or not?
I had a number of "replicas" of similar price with those anonymous 2813 movements and got fed up with them. I'm, unfortunately, a bit obsessed with time accuracy (which is a bit incompatible with mechanical watches, I know) and those watches were just c**p. I mean, moving fast or slow 1 min/day (even if I regulated them with a timegrapher, etc. - they just refuse to be tuned). So, homages, besides that one avoids the f word (fake, I mean), at least offer you a japanese movement with a decent quality.
Question: How can you take the pushpin out to adjust the clasp? Is it a 21mm pushpin? I bought the watch and loving it, but I just cannot take out the pushpin to adjust the clasp with my spring-bar tool. Please advice.
Hi Kwan, if you're referring to the pins for the micro adjustment then it's not an easy task, patience, persistence and a decent tool are key... good luck
@@LastWatch I GOT IT!!! Three nights in a roll I wouldn't give up. Just like you said "patience". I finally used a micro screwdriver yanking it out, my push pin tools of various sizes just couldn't do it. It is amazing how I feel so accomplished with such a small task. Now, I can happily and fittingly wear this watch to bed on this Friday night :-)
Bought one a couple of months ago. Luckily mine doesn't have any " issues " at all. Must of got a goodun I suppose. For the money it really is a great little watch, not sure how they do it, apart from probably paying their workers 50 quid a month maybe !!!
Good review. Very thorough analysis. Slightly wonky cyclops? Must be a Pagani. I have the 40mm submariner homage diver and it has the same apology. BTW I disassembled my bezel then realigned the insert.
I got the batman, and I can tell you it's practically impossible to make the micro adjustment on the clasp. I've not found a watch tool yet that will slide in to release the pin. Not happening. I just gave up on that.
@@LastWatch I agree with the skeletal. I have a Elini barokas mechanical skeleton, black case, orange dial I bought years ago , but this Pagani looks exactly like a Patek I seen on Instagram and wasn't sure if it was a homage of that. I have seen only one review on RU-vid and in a different language
I like the 43mm and have one coming in today plus I hope to get the Batman although it a 40mm I'll just have to deal with that ,but that one would be nice in 43mm also. I'll make a video of the Hulk early next week. LOL 43 for me, those 3mm are what makes me like this watch the mosy.
I fail to see the point of this. Everything about this watch is fake, the name, there is no "design" at least not there own, the movement, (Malaysian copy of a Seiko movement). The non exsistent "quality control". The non exsistent customer service from the, "retailers", who punt this stuff out.. The ownership experience which in absolutely no way even remotely mirrors the experience of owning a fine watch or frankly even a watch of any quality whatsover. If you buy into this stuff the only person you are fooling is yourself. Buy a Seiko or Citizen diver or save your cash for something better.
Luckily I have both Citizen and Seiko's, the Pagani Design as mentioned were bought as a laugh for educational and comparative reviews, I may well visit them in a future video to see how they fair and wear
I was very much in your camp when it came to copies/clones/homages or whatever, but I have watched several reviews on this watch and the Phoibos PX002C and, for the money, they have been reviewed as pretty good watches. There are some, I believe, with copy movements, but they do also have the genuine NH35A movement in the newer ones - so I'm informed. I've got an Omega Seamaster and a Tag Monaco, so I know what proper quality is like, a Citizen Skyhawk and several Casio's including 2 Duro's, but these Chinese watches - if they last 5 years then die - I won't be devastated as they are such good value for what they are. I'm waiting for my Pagani to arrive (£68) and I already wear Phoibos a lot. So far, so good!
@@LastWatch Everyone gets that, buddy, but this stuff is total crap and a complete waste of time and money, Frankly it's not fooling anyone. Save your cash and buy something worthwhile.
Because some people are not willing to expend 10k+ euros on watch when you can get 80% of the joy and experience for less than 1% the price? Simple logic
@@rogermycock4801 some people are ok with wearing budget watches.. And this budget watch tries to give you part of the experience of the design of a more expensive one. Whats the problem with that exactly?
