I think you’re right about the Neutral stuff. They’re really averse to changing how they work in the game. I think the community was ready for more of a shakeup on that front.
Karstark Spearmen are interesting for dealing with Martell high-mobility, "retreat when hit" units. I mean they're not gonna destroy them or anything, but they deny flank bonuses and can deal them 4-5 impacts before hitting them, and with low armor saves those hits plus the attacks can be pretty rough.
I feel Petyr Baelish is still pretty strong. 3 times is still quite some. Because you just have to hold out on doing it in round 1 and then you can do it in rounds 2, 3 and 4 which is most of the game. And then you have the once-per-game one.
Also: Neutrals need subfactions to really work. Have half a tactics deck be Bolton focused if you use 50%+ Bolton units, etc. For that we would need a bit more support for some other neutral subfactions though.
How I think Knightly Vow should work: -You can target one ALLIED unit [thought: maybe an allied unit WITH an attachment/commander]. When that unit is charged or attacked, you can perform one Charge action against the unit that attacked it [like Sentinel, but for one unit and not being an order?]. You also gain +1 to hit against units engaged with the allied unit that was targeted. Brienne's knightly vow was about protecting Catelyn's children, not about commiting to kill someone. It should make Brienne's unit a protective unit. If this is too strong, you can bump her price or add a debuff if the unit/attachment she targeted is destroyed.
I think you drastically over estimate the vhange to Petyr. Petyr rarely uses his zone replace more than 3 times as is. Realistically he maybe will have one time now ghat he wishes he could have done it
Every update I hope they change how neutrals work so I can stop being hit by the nerf bat because the other factions can take the 2 good units I use, and every update I'm disappointed. This has been a problem since the Boltons were released in 2018. Why is CMON so dead set on not changing how neutrals work to solve this problem without taking a dump in my breakfast?
I think is update is so boring cuz the thing that is S tier still up there and all the fix doing nothing to meta aside made free folk easier to fight. But harmen still as op as he will be and karl drogo you call that neff ? Add blood rider in that unit call buff in my book for 100 year and john snow now he can easier just 1 shot 12 wound with that valuable buff that this update give him for no good reason Little finger that change is same as bowman +1 morale doran no change great here we stand playing other aside from martel bera lanister then yea pick one 1 lose by doran 2 lose by running into full position then opponent just kill your unit easily.
