A SPONTANEOUS TRIP to the Other Side of the World!! Skiing In CANADA 

I work in travel and still get this feeling every time I go anywhere, congratulations for overcoming your anxiety and thank you for showing us this side of things as I'm sure many people can relate.

Thank you for this honest video, I’m going to Germany in May 2023 for my daughter, it’s her dream trip, but I’m so nervous to leave USA, opposite of you trip. I’ve never traveled without my husband and I have never left my country before. You helped me not feel alone. Thank you

I feel SO seen by the first 10 minutes of travel anxiety

I used to work for events companies that managed things like the London international horse show and I told them in 2015 that RU-vidrs/influencers were the way forward and they all laughed at me.. Now I see all of you there and how many meet & greets etc they offer I laugh because you guys bring so much business with you!

Hopefully, Whistler is warmer than Alberta is today. I woke up to -32 Celcius this morning, very chilly doing chores.

I appreciate you leaving in the beginning with the anxiety. I canceled trips due to this feeling and regretted it later. I'm so glad you went for it and pushed past it. It looked gorgeous, even though I hate the snow. In western NY, trudging out in the snow like that whilst caring for the horses is not uncommon! They love it though. :P

Loved your skiing video!! You will have to ski at Steamboat Springs Colorado sometime. That’s where my family and I go. It’s a large mountain and has runs for all skiing abilities. Definitely world class skiing ⛷️

Anxiety is great at yelling at you to be afraid of anything and everything. The amount of mental energy and bravery it takes to overcome all that is huge. Congratulations on being brave enough to push through the anxiety and go and have a wonderful time! Maybe think of it as exposure therapy and recognise that it’s a fantastic step towards telling the anxiety it’s no longer helpful to you, and is not needed. Whistler looked AMAZING! Glad you had such a wonderful time. Also, the Paddock apparel looks lovely ☺️. Can’t beat a gallop along a beach!

I had a similar situation earlier this year. It should have been a lot of fun given that it was a horsey themed trip on behalf of the breed society I volunteer with.. however, I was a nervous wreck. Ultimately had fun on the day, but it's such a struggle to leave home, and I absolutely loath traveling by plane. As always, I appreciate your honesty. Bless our husbands for dealing with us when our nerves get the better of us, and for taking care of the family while we're away.

What fun! Whistler is lovely, and you did come at the perfect time as we'd had a really big dump of snow at that time. What a great treat to travel in business class too!!

Hi Tina, What an absolutely fabulous Vlog. Canada, and Whistler in particular are beautiful. I thought that you were a great skier. I went to boarding;g school in Switzerland and was a hopeless skier. I spent the majority of my time sliding down the hills on my rear end, with the ski Instructor screaming her head off at me because she thought I was a moron. I completely feel you! I am 18 and just flew to America alone last week to meet my sister on the other side! Bearing in mind I have never been on a bus on my own before. I felt anxious but once I was there I absolutely loved it. So push through it and think to yourself tomorrow I will be having the best time as look forward to it and enjoy it🥰glad you enjoyed yourself in the end!

This year I completely forgot about the London horse show till my aunt text to ask if I have been watching it? So glad she did as I got to watch Scott Brash win with a nail biting jump off. Proud that u took the leap and went with Holly.

I watch you and all your fellow eventers from Minneapolis Minnesota felt you were comming pretty close to me lm used to skiing 4or 5 months of the year here and riding in all the snow can't believe lv done it most of my life l never did eventing did hunter jumping and dressage its wonderful to see how eventing has progressed since l grew up in Scotland l plan a visit home next year it will feel like lm in a foreign country l expect been 18 years since l was home last glad you did it it's a lot to take on on you own

Thank you so much, Tina, for sharing this. I have never experienced what you are going through as I have always been excited to travel by myself. But it is so helpful to be understand what people in your shoes feel as it helps people like me empathize with people like you as I am sure there are many in all of our lives. The main thing is you focused on the goal and achieved it.

I am going skiing in February with school and I am super nervous. I've only ever skiied once on a teeny tiny indoor slope. It gives me a lot of confidence in knowing that you've managed to overcome that anxiety and seeing how much fun you had. Keep doing what you do Tina! Hi Tina You did absolutely amazing going all that way and travelling back home on your own. I’m exactly like you, I hate going anywhere on my own I’m not very confident anyway and get anxious about getting lost or something happening. So you did fantastic, you should be proud of yourself. Canada looks like a white wonderland so beautiful, I half expected to see Santa and his reindeer. You were not to far from where we live. We are just South in Eastern Washington state a little over an hour from the Canadian boarder. We currently have 2 feet of snow. Glad you had a fantastic time. ❄️

I understand how you felt, I did my first big solo trip in October and the day before leaving I nearly contemplated canceling it. But, I’m so glad I went and I’m so glad you went! I love Whistler/Blackcomb - used to vacation up there during the summer off-season when I was a kid 😊

Oh Tina I do understand, it's happened to me more than once. I have found that once you go coming back is easier because it's familiar being the way you came, if that makes sense. But you should know that you have so many of us here in Canada that feel you are our friend and all you needed to do was go live and any one of your fans would have been there at the airport to help you through.

I definitely have a weaker side! With horse riding and skiing. I haven't been skiing for a while but when I'm riding my right leg is weaker. Which probably means my ski turns to the left are harder as my right is the downhill ski. Skiing powder is hard! I've only done it once and I had some spectacular falls 😁😅 Whistler looks stunning. How lucky you are to get to go 💙🎿
