1973 Mexican Spec Ford Country Sedan - 40826F
Hello friends
Don't you love wagons?
This is a 1973 Ford Country Sedan
Under the hood is a 351 4 barrel V8. The 351 was the only engine used in these this year. Notice the engine call out emblem on the fenders is the same as the emblem used on the 1968 Fords in the US.
This one is a rare 3 on the tree model. Imagine the power of the Mexican 351 4 barrel with the manual transmission.
The interior has been done in this brown fabric.
The car features manual roll up windows and has no heater or air.
The wheels look like they were made by Appliance. Do you remember these wheels?
The yellow paint needs a buff to get more shine back.
The current owner takes it out on the highway all the time. It is that dependable.
The trim down the side is almost complete. There really isn't much to do to this car.
Personally I would remove the horn button in the middle of the horn pad. That would be a bad day in an accident. Can these stock horn pads be found?
By the way this is a 10 passenger wagon so if you have 4 little kids you can out them in the way back, or two bigger kids.
Here is the break down on the cost of the vehicle. The vehicle itself will be $8,200 dollars. Transport from where it is to the Nogales Arizona border $950 dollars for a total of $9,150. This car is pretty far south in the country so a bit of the cost is bringing it to the border. We are paying over $6.00 US per gallon of gasoline or diesel.
Lately the exchange rate has been all over the place so please ask for an up to date price.
If you have any questions about the importation process, please ask me.
We Can Now Offer US Delivery * - What this means is we can cross the car and you as the buyer would need to pick it up in Nogales Arizona or arrange transport to your location.
I know the thought of buying from Mexico makes people nervous.
I can provide references from my previous clients if necessary.

When I went to visit some cousins in New Jersey in 1984, their family car was a 1968 Mercury wagon with the 390 and 3 on-the-tree. The father let me drive it once too.

That was a rare bird. By the '70's that was all gone.

I love it!! 351W I'm guessing. Not having AC, it would've been much easier to tell - especially if it has no power steering. I don't think Ford ever put the Cleveland 351 in anything larger than a Gran Torino, and I think the 351M wasn't produced until '75 or so.

73 and 74 Custom 500, Galaxie 500 or LTD models were standard with either 351 2V and automatic.

Nice wagon !!! Good interior. I would have to put a heater in it. It snows and gets down to -10° in the winter. 👍👍👍

I am sure the parts can be had. I think the Vintage air units have heat as well.

It is probably easy to add a heater core. Adding AC might be hard though.

Vintage Air makes a unit that can provide both but it does cost a bit.

@mexicanspec i can't remember what year it was. But I wish I had kept it. My girlfriend was freaked out by it, so I sold it. If memory serves me, it had ridiculously low mileage.
