Professor John D Lin always delivers a great speech. It's amazing to see him speak about his story with such great flow and noticing all the small little details that he has taught me 7 years ago. It takes bravery to be so open about his personal life. The message he conveys is eye opening.

As a former student of Professor John D.Lin, it is truly a remarkable, heart warming experience to be in a classroom that is taught by such a great and talented professor. It’s an honor to sit in public speaking class and learn how to express yourself, how to be vulnerable in front of peers, how to get out of that comfort zone and speak in front of the class without any judgement. I truly wish for John D.Lin to continue to inspire people to come out of their shells and break the stigma of unspoken feelings that the society has suppressed on many of us. I am thankful to have had the opportunity to learn from Professor John D.Lin because his work/ advice/ teaching/ inspiration will always be with me.

Wow! My former professor 😮 … thank you for sharing. This TED Talk resonates. Men are often too proud or prideful to seek help - I am no exception. But I feel confident now to find the help I’ve long needed. I enjoy helping others even though I struggle in silence. From QCC 2009 to USMC 2013 to now my MBA at GSU - I’m no longer ashamed to say “I suffer from Mental Health Challenges,” thank you. I will seek much needed help (R/S Nelson)

I Remeber I had John as my professor when I first started college, me and him got along and I had him twice in the same year. Honeslty one of the best professors I think I’ve had so far. Really outgoing, always getting people to involve in activities and just being honest. I had him in suny old westbury and it’s great to see how far he has come. Idk if he will see this but he really was a great professor
