My grandmother & I had an amazing experience in Lyon. We were traveling further north by train but had a layover in Lyon. We were hungry so went searching for a Cafe. We found one that was actually closing, but the family who owned the cafe asked us to join them in the kitchen to eat with them!!!!! Was so very sweet!!! ❤

I love love this. It is exactly what I have been looking for. I plan to move to italy . I doubt it will be available in the next few months. This town is perfect! The weather is perfect for an Autistic single gal with Asthma. ME… lol…. I will keep watching your videos . Thank you for including all the details! … you have made it easier for me. I would need a move in friendly. I am looking for a 2 to 4 bedrooms. Most places have tiny kitchens and tiny bedrooms. I love this location. Hi guys, my wife and I love the videos. We are also looking to retire overseas and Italy is at the top of our list! Never imagined so many beautiful yet inexpensive homes! We like the warm weather (after 50 years of Alberta winters we don’t want to see snow unless we travel to a ski hill, LOL) so are drawn more to the south of Italy. As well, many towns in those areas qualify for the 7% flat income tax. Can you do some more videos on homes in Molise, Puglia, Basilicata, Campagna and Calabria? Grazie!

Buurrrrr… we are originally from Buffalo and New Hampshire, so we get it 🥶 You’re right, the 7% flat tax regions are so attractive for us foreigners. We found a property in Puglia a couple of weeks ago, so that is coming up. We have been having trouble in the other regions because we like character and views, or something special, but we will keep searching 😊 Curious, do you like character or are you willing to sacrifice it for sea/mountain views or something else? @@wanderingwithwine Hi Guys!!! Happy Sunday! Working day here but oddly quiet thus far. Awaiting the possible severe weather / tornado outbreak this week. Glad my house is not fixed yet. ugh Geezo Hopefully the wicked forecast disapates for us all in the Midwest b/c it is becoming obnoxious every 7-10 days repeatedly. We are 80 degrees going down to 60's for high and 40's for lows again, never good. To be near 90 Monday! Yikes That is dangerous for us this time of year. Hope it is beautiful where you are. I think me and Toto need to make a break for it. (kidding-my little dog's name is Reginald! - full blooded standard Dachshund - rescued about 10 years ago now) We are a pair. He's nearly deaf and blind. I cannot think straight working mega hours weekly. Just need a little place overseas for me and a small pupster! Thanks for sharing such fab places. I've looked for about 6 years and will till ready to get out of here. Exciting as it gets closer. Best wishes as you go about your day there.

I think I liked the one minute place better. It had a more classic Italian look. Was that a one bedroom, one bath? I'm curious about one of the street signs. Beautiful town and great property. Curious, you said you were first looking at France...what made you change to looking in Italy? We are exploring both countries...south France to north to central Italy in May and June. Just a few weeks away!!

Hi Joi!! Yes, your trip is coming up soon - so exciting 🙌🏻 Two main reasons… from our understanding, taxes are higher in France, and Italy has the 7% flat tax program in some regions. Also, since we are working on our dual citizenship, we thought it made more sense to stick with Italy. We do still check out properties in France when we come across them though, it’s a beautiful country!! You have to keep us posted on how your trip goes✨❤️

Does Cottanello qualify foreigners for the special 7% income tax? Town needs to have fewer than 20,000 inhabitants.

Hi Bobby! Lazio isn’t one of the “standard” regions but some comunes in Lazio do qualify. In all fairness, most of Italy is earthquake prone. Lazio isn’t in Zone 1 though. Zone 1; high seismic risk, very strong earthquakes can occur in these areas, the most dangerous zone: Friuli-Venezia Giulia Veneto Abruzzi Umbria Molise Campania Sicily From folks we’ve chatted with in Italy, it’s a way of life, like living in California. The L’Aquila earthquake in Abruzzo in 2009 was quite deadly and damaging. Seismic activity is definitely something for folks to consider. Thanks for popping in 🇮🇹✨

Wandering with Wine (or wondering with wine or wandering is fine or wondering about lines), are you ready for your new segment name? Don’t be fooled by the latitude! What do you think? You are basically trying to show the place in Italy’s relationship to places in the US so people don’t remain fooled by their beliefs for how far north or south to their hometown the place in Italy really is. Italy is a latitudinally challenging country due to it being the leg of Europe. Roll it around in you beautiful wine-soaked minds! See you next week!!!

@wanderingwithwine What kind of music does B perform? I can't believe you two aren't also going to add a music studio/practice area to your list of must haves. I've seen a few with multiple cantinas with barrel vaulted ceilings that would make a good performance space. Personally I would like a home on land (garden, olive & fruit trees and of course goats) outside a town with a farmers market where i could sell my soaps and produce. The town should have community theater my hubster could get involved with. One question I have-when you mention churches in town-I am assuming they all Catholic? What's a Methodist to do?? My personal vision for your channel is to monetize it to the point it funds your dream home by the time you are ready to leap! Is this to be a vacation home? Permanent move? Retirement? (You two are so young-that must be years off though) Keep up the good work 👏 😀

B plays so many instruments, his main is guitar though and he started when he was 11. His main focus was rock, but he also has a piano album. He doesn’t really do gigs anymore but he records and produces - he LOVES it 😃 Yep, wherever we go, we will need a studio space!! He currently has our loft and a bedroom dedicated to gear and a studio (I’m a good wife🤣). We have seen a few different churches, mainly Catholic but there have been others. Haha… we will have to look specifically for Methodist churches now! Well, your vision sounds absolutely amazing - that would be spectacular 🥰 We haven’t decided on permanent or part-time. Think it would be hard to be away from family though… sooooo guessing 6 months one place and 6 another. Depends on the location and house though too probably. We aren’t THAT young, but you’re sweet for making us feel young, Leona 😘 💗

great place for earthquakes i think.. you guys are so funny... talking at leangth about a place 11 hours away from the house in question...95% of people in that town have not been to leon..france. :) like the house.. i am afraid that this is a place some american might idealize and then realizeit is in middle of nowhere. almost 2 hours to beach. noone speaks english... no jobs..

Unfortunately, almost all of Italy is prone to earthquakes. From the residents we’ve chatted with, it’s a way of life. Definitely something to consider if planning a move though. Thanks for popping in!

Breathtaking views from a wonderful happy hour tower!! I love Italy but am also drawn to France ( very pretty properties) as well as Greece, esp the islands for a retirement place. If only I had the funds for one in each country. Thanks for showing parts of Italy I don’t know and fab properties!

Yep! We like to show all of the amazing places outside of Italy to our viewers, a lot of them haven’t been to Europe either, and there are so many wonderful places to visit and explore. Lazio isn’t in Zone 1. Zone 1; high seismic risk, very strong earthquakes can occur in these areas, the most dangerous zone: Friuli-Venezia Giulia Veneto Abruzzi Umbria Molise Campania Sicily The L’Aquila earthquake in Abruzzo in 2009 was quite deadly and damaging. Think it depends on someone’s definition of “the middle of nowhere,” when you have services and amenities close by and/or in town, just over an hour to Rome, along with public transport, that works for some people 😃 Trying to find move-in ready places in the cities, and not everyone wants to be in the city, at decent price points is tough. Some prefer beach over mountains, and some prefer mountains over beach. All depends on the person - there’s really something for everyone in Italy. Most of the folks we chat with are retiring to Italy, so jobs aren’t an issue 😉
