honestly the least they could do is buff celestial nighthawks damage output, if it matched thundercrash with curaiss it’d get a lot more use, I used to main celstial GG for riven back in the forsaken days, it was god tier. Now i’m an arc hunter main, IMO the absolute best hunter class in the game atm, awesome neutral game, awesome super with gathering storm, access to blink so you get your normal tripple jump AND blink on the one sunbclass, my melee build is practically immortal
I had ideas about redesigning the gunslinger supers: 1. Instead of Blade barrage, we get Golden gun: Akimbo. The hunter backflips into the air and summons two revolvers and fires two high powered explosive shots that decimate anyone in front of them. 2. Since the Gunslinger is based off the Western cowboy, I’d figure their supers would be based off of the 3 guns of the west. •Golden gun: Deadshot- the revolver(pretty much the same as it is) •Golden gun:Marksman- a long distance lever action rifle •Golden gun:Buckshot- a close quarters shotgun There would also be a new melee ability called Scattershot where the hunter summons a mini sawed off shotgun that scorches and ignites the target. All and all, I see the Gunslinger not just as the space cowboy, but also the firearms expert, so they should have supers that reflect that
I agree that the shots should chain to other enemies. However, I would do it only on precision hits. That way it goes even more into the power fantasy. It could have similar tracking to Arthry's Embrace too, so that ricochet rounds will likely precision hit again
I always felt like Celestial Nighthawk needs to make golden gun do WAY more damage than it currently does. I went from using Celestial all the time (because most other supers were focused on ad clear) to almost never using it for anything. The whole point of Celestial Nighthawk is to sacrifice having 3 shots (or 6 is you use deadshot in PvE for some reason) for 1 ridiculously powerful shot.
I want the gulden gun to ricochet Also golden gun is amazing for add clear with the aspect that can ignite on super kill also 6 shooter gets more shots on ignition
The Gunslinger was the reason I started tittering towards being a hunter main towards the end of D1. It’s the only subclass with the power fantasy of being the gun fighter
I think the riccochet is a great idea for the deadeye super but for the 6 shooter i would want to turn it into more of a roaming super. It would only run out based on the timer and not after using all your shots, and while it was active you could use your dodge to refresh your golden gun's ammo. Instead of kills refunding a bullet now they recharge your dodge. You'd still have golden gun's low damage reduction but you'd be more mobile and able to get more out of your super
@@lokimordant I know how it works I said as much in my comment. I didn't ask for build advice I was suggesting an improvement which is what the video was about.
I have a great idea. It would break pvp without a doubt but still... What if you could throw a coin (up to 3) and when you shoot it, it doubles the damage and ricochets to nearby target. To make a difference let the 6-shot ricochet up to 3 times between combatants when being shot through the coin while always choose the weakest enemy, and 3-shot may have increased range of tracking and always aim to the weak spot of the strongest enemy. And if you throw multiple coins it will ricochet between them increasing damage more and more. P.S.: yes-yes...I've played ultrakill for a long time)
@@PocketTuna actually hunters look like reversed titans to me. Almost all of them are incredibly bad in adclear, their survivability is mediocre (except some exotic integrations) and their only purpose is good boss damage. And I suppose the strand one will share the fate of gunslinger to be badass and stylish but completely useless in PVE. At least gunslinger has a couple of good exotics and good super that let him remain viable. Strand one has one decent adclear super and that's just it. Another PVP-only oriented hunter subclass.
You know, if you ever wondering around year3 to year5, golden WAS the best super in the game along with the nighthawk. It is after a ridiculous long time when bungie relize they should switch things up a little for hunters. (But it is also bungie's wish to let titan be the spotlight kid cuz u know, bungie like Titan)
I've always thought of golden gun as a boss effective super but blade barrage does kind of the same thing so I would change blade barrage into something else like the arc super in destiny 1 where you can melee and throw knives and maybe have a dodge ability when you are in your super with the destiny 2 arc super
Knockem Down solves atleast half of your problems. You get your knife back on a kill and your super is stronger. One of those fragments makes your super have a ignition explosion. Things aren't as bad as you think.
golden gun is abit useless in pve blade barrage has more dps, wouldnt make it have it tracking that is hard. but yeah golden gun is cracked in pvp but raids and so on they will tell you to take off. blades with stareaters is way to go if you want a dps for high end
ok so i have no idea why you said gun powder gamble is underrated cause a lot of people use gun powder gamble for pve also golden gun is fine where it is right now so i don't know why you say it needs a buff o-o if anything the only thing i would say about the hunter is to change its flip dodge that turns you radiant I just don't think your playing it to its full power if your saying that its weak and that's coming from someone who has used golden gun since the start of destiny 1 and 2 why have a super that takes care of adds when you can just burn explode and scorch everything if you want add clearing super go solar blade if not then use golden gun for the big guys the fact that you say hunter is scum of the earth is funny cause im sure other classes would say the same for titan or warlock or if a warlock says it to titan. p.s SunShot is a thing
