Do you know what is really sad? They say that after Mustafa was enthroned again, he would roam around the palace searching for Osman, begging him to free him from the burden of rulership. Of all the Ottoman Sultans, Sultan Mustafa was among the most innocent and tragic character.
To be clear - I feel bad for him. But this all happened, mainly because Sultan Osman killed his younger brother Mehmet. He broke promise, he gave his father and he blamed Kosem for making him kill his younger brother. When he was the one who sent executioners to strangle him. So for me this is also - Hell of karma.
He was not first or second who killed his brother or someone else. That was like that in time. He was just week, whiteout strength, whiteout control, with mother who like power more than everything
His brother didn't obey the orders and it was need of the time because otherwisesultan osman could still be killed due to his brother as he was a threat in future
Nope. Mehmed was a jealous little brat. It's also disputed by historians and scholars that Mehmed was even Kosems son. His biggest mistake was announcing his plans to reform the jannisarries. Which they needed to be because they were corrupt, out of control, and too powerful. Young Osman would have been very good as a ruler with his ideas if he wouldn't have been shamelessly executed by the treacherous jannisarries.
But he didn't get executed because he killed his brother. It was all just a plot of Halime Sultan's to enthroned her mad son. She would've murdered all of Kosem's family if she could.
@@eurechYes because she was married for Ottoman empire and her son were bad sultans. She love them with her heart but their were unfair to their mother
this time really sultanate of women, whose women more powerful then her son would be the sultan, also this why Murad become the anger sultan, he saw all that, killing of mehmet by osman, and the fall of osman, poor murad have to watched all of that in his young age
I have never heard or seen a peaceful kingdom. There is always someone trying to take someone else’s place. The craziest part is you can’t trust those in your family!
Very sad end of an young sultan! From the beginning, he lacked support, no regent in the form of valide sultan. Kosem enjoyed regency during her sons time till her death
Kosem Sultan want to be at his side, but Osman refuse accept Kosem as the Valide Sultan at Topkapi Palace. Osman exile Kosem and her daughter at the eski saray.. so no wonder, Osman position as the Sultan, are not strong enough because does not have a Valide Sultan as the co-regent and also Osman did not have yet a brilliant Haseki Sultan
@@wanmohammadaimanwanzamzani9755 I don't think it was a good idea to allow your mother in law to be regent, wasn't the wife of Suleman the magnificent the same thing!! She wanted her Sons to rule instead of her stepson Mustafa, and thus got killed by his father because of rumours.
@@napolien1310 now we talked about Sultan Osman, not Sultan Suleiman, not Sahzade Mustafa. During the era of Sultan Osman, he's not stable in term of power stability. on that time, Kosem Sultan are most influential person and osman need her as Valide Sultan and also as his co-regent. like what i said, Osman did not have a brilliant Haseki Sultan to be at his side like Hurrem Sultan or Nurbanu Sultan, the prominent figure that show how brilliant both of them as the haseki sultan on that time. Although Kosem Sultan is not his real mother, but Kosem always considered Osman as her own son. Kosem also choose Osman as the next Sultan rather than her own son Sahzade Mehmed because she love osman also and considered osman as the crown prince. its different with Hurrem Sultan, who exile crown prince Sahzade Mustafa, because mustafa is not her son
He was named as Osman who was the founder of the Ottoman Empire. He was such a kind human and helped the poor. With his intelligence and humanity,he established such a big empire. He would have so much ashamed of his future generations being driven to powers and concubines.
Worse really happened. The ground of the golden horn is littered with the bones of thousands of young females, who were sewn in a sack and dumped in the water. Just to be sure that no postumus prince could have a claim to the throne.
He got executed because he never really held the reigns of power. According to history, Kosem was the one who set up his attack by the jannisaries and allowed him to be executed. Goes to show you that back then, in order to really hold power, you either had to have enough men with swords at your back to scare off enemies or you had to be high up enough in the 'faithful' bureaucracy that people had to think twice about putting a knife in your back.
@Mark Ward what difference did his anger make? His will to destroy the male bloodline of Osman failed woefully before his eyes, he was helpless and powerless. He died knowing fully well that he failed
People here remembering Mehmet Forget 1) mehmet brought it on himself, always instigating and irritating osman at every opportunity he got, not allowed him to escape from the palace, fighting over meleksima. 2) mehmet would have executed osman i am sure if he took the throne No wonder murad was ruthless.
They were cruel thousands of years ago. And they still haven't changed. I hated that Osman broke his promise and killed Mehmet. But even so many years later...people hate him in the worst of manners. He was even denied water, a basic human right. He should have been killed straight away as for his punishment, they took it too far. How can people be so hateful?
The first part of Kosem sultan was amazing. She was an ideal Sultan.....loved and cared for everyone however the second part was very disapponting as she turned into a very cruel queen who was thirsty for power and wealth.
You should read a little more about Ottoman history, because most of them killed their brothers once they came to the throne, even Sultan Suleiman killed his own son Mustafa for fear of being surpassed.
The original commenter is absolutely ridiculous and ignorant if they truly think that " most" Sultans didn't execute their siblings!! 😂 How absurd and ridiculous!! They all did!! It seemed to work out best for the Empire too!!
It’s sad that Kosem protected him as baby and cared for him as her own, and he betrayed her by killing her real son. What an ungrateful snake 🐍 he was.
i feel sad for him he was only 14 at the time of throne , imagine how small he was , they killed them at the age of 17 history says that they crushed his testicles and he died due to crushing of testicles 😓
I do not really understand what happened here and among who? Is this happened after Great Szulejman,? His follower was Selim (one of Hurrem`s sons.) So which period in the history is this movie, please.? I am really interested
@@ayusaleha4452 no. Although it's considered sin . Many Islamic emperors killed their own siblings . Ahmed's father executed his brothers as well and in Mughal empire Aurangazeb beheaded his own brother same for other emperors. In Saudi Arabia they are imprisoning their own brothers and sisters.
Mustafa was not mad. He regularly visited the barracks and naval arsenals in Istanbul. He even planned to winter at Konya as he was planning to campaign against the Persians. But Valide Halime Sultan prevented it as the situation around the capital was not safe. It was indeed a conspiracy lead by the chief eunuch Haci Mustafa Agha and the grand admiral Ali pasha who were angered by the latter's removal from office. As a result Haci Mustafa spread rumours about the Sultan's mental instability. This is why Mustafa was deposed both the times. Many sultans ( such as Suleiman II, Ahmed II) spended much more time in Kafes but they did not became mad by that reason.
I read a lot of comments here, how mehmet was innocent? When Sultan Ahmed was alive, mehmet fight for a girl with apparently no reason, in jannissaries barrack, he didn't even let shehzada Osman to speak, made him embarrassed, as he was adopted by Kosem, then fight again just because he is eldest son of Kosem so throne is his right...where is his innocence?? Second Kosem Sultan is pure etc.... He gave throne to Osman and then stand aside, didn't speak a single word with him, and when prince İskender was killed, she said to Zülfikar that now it's Osman's turn but Zülfikar deny to do something bad to Osman as he was entrusted to him by Sultan Ahmed. Alas! When he was murdered, she feel some pain, and become pure. Kosem Sultan was pure when she ordered to kill Ibrahim, ordered to kill mehmet his grandson. She was pure for people who had nothing to do with throne and she feed them, but not seems to be good sultana for power, she did everything for POWER.
Yes,kosem was power greedy woman...and frankly, prince mehmet was a jerk...he fought with osman for a concubine,yakk...before that, out of nothing he spoiled Osman's art work which he did for kosem...mehmet was a jealous jerk
Curse or anything, I don’t care. This is the worst thing of history. A sultan can not be killed such a way. Again Sultan Osman fought greatly against jenissaries before his dying. But how unfortunate he was to be defeated and be killed such a way.
guys, osman didn’t deserve this. none of this humiliation, not this death. he was so young when he ascended the throne, and he was influenced by the wrong people. unlike mustafa or mehmet/murad, he didn’t have a strong mother to guide him and clear his path. osman, in history and in the show, regretted killing mehmet. he was sixteen when he ascended the throne. the throne crushed him, he was too small for it and the heavy throne crushed him. he really didn’t deserve any of this. no matter what the sultan did, his subjects were supposed to be loyal to him, and they weren’t supposed to betray him this way. sultan mehmet, son of safiye sultan, ascended the throne and killed nineteen of his brothers. he then also killed his son. but he didn’t suffer any of this. but poor, young osman, who killed his brother under manipulation and influence, suffered such a sneaky, humiliating death.
@@troifernan6108 so what? So *what?* Different eras? So WHAT? Ahmet's father was way more cruel. And he was even avenged. Look at Osman. He was humiliated in the worst ways possible.
@@troifernan6108 | literally so what? in no era kids being killed was okay. just because it was more common does not make it okay. moreover, the ottomans were a sacred dynasty (not my opinion, i’m talking about the era & the people) and killing them was a huge sin, especially bc they were caliphs as well. osman ii was a teenager when he was killed, he didn’t deserve any of it bc he got thrown into this game whilst being a child and was expected to win alone.
@@p.celeste1307 | seriously, i can’t understand why people are insulting osman so much and saying that he deserved his death when he was clearly regretful about killing mehmet and about all his poor decisions. his humiliation & death scenes were so difficult to watch, they were so heartbreaking and sad, i can only imagine how much pain the real osman iiwas went through. may he rest in peace and may god grant him heaven.
So sad. As with a lot of history, all I see is jealousy, power struggles, control and greed and hunger for a throne which always seems to become an obsession instead of continuing the importance of guidance and truth for their people. Throughout history, the aftermath leaves only confusion, hatred, and civil unrest, which is what we now have all over the world. No one seems to doing what is right, only leaving mayhem and chaos in its wake. When will humanity wake up to the real truth that we all are equal and all live together upon this world we call Earth our home and that all life, including animals, plants, etc, deserves all the dignity and respect we can give it, including changing our ways with kindness and compassion before we destroy ourselves and become extinct with everything else that lives here upon our Earth 🌍 🌎 🌏 ?
It was said in some religious book i guess that the rulers will have longest accountability period on Judgment day. Seeing history, it looks very accurate now.
Kosem Sultana you didn’t make any mistake;you save a life of a child doesn’t have any sin’s with your pure heart, but don’t fall with those coward evil they were all been hiding in their room;let you do all the jobs for them because they are the coward evil I ever seen keep your good heart and get rid of them with the right way
They cut the scene were that executioner squeeze Osman’s balls until he cannot move because of the pain, which unfortunately really happened in real history as well :(
Honestly kosem has such a kind heart osman killed mehmet but she still tries to help him and why is everyone like kosem got her revenge she didnt want any lmao osman was like her son too
Many people in comments here are so ignorant, Mehmet was a terrible guy, always jealous and petty, that's why he got killed for his stupidity but with Osman, it's a different situation, he wanted to reform and do changes with jannisary system and the jannisaries felt threatened by this decision because they became corrupt and wanted to have a puppet like Mehmed or Mustafa to preserve their material privileges and power. Rest in peace Osman, you fought bravely against thousands of hyenas alone 💔
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Sultan osman killed his brother mehmat.. He have to be punished but this was not the way.. This crosses limits.. The way they disrespected a sultan 😭.. And then killed him so badly and mercilessly was disasting 😭😭😭😭.. Feels so bad for him.. May his Soul rest in piece Ameen Summa-Ameen
Yes..some times I feel why I watch all these nonsense.. doesn't make sense.. ottomans rule the world..thats it..in real life (family) they fail..some times it's hard to accept the truth..yes the truth is always bitter

The soldier beside him, the one who gave him the hat told him “don’t go down necked/ without clothes”. In other words, unless you wear the hat in public you are not appropriately/respectfully dressed at that time in that culture.
Every sultan killed their brothers and Mehmet brought it up to himself he always irritated Osman he fought him for meliksama and I bet if Mehmet was sultan then he would do the same with Osman but the way Osman died was terrible in the real history the executionor crushed the testicles of Osman so that he can't move and then strangled him and after he died dawud pasha the traitor cut osman's ears and gave them to halime to prove mustapha that sultan Osman is dead After reading this comment do you think Osman deserved to die like this plz reply back
@@humarayounus8213 What you've read is just 1 version. As with everything in the past, there is no knowing what is the actual truth and most of the time, what we know today is just histories written with the authors bias. Just like the history of the Mongols, the conquered will write of their evils while the conqueror write of their glory. The truth is usually a combination of both.
@@humarayounus8213 there's no such thing as pure history. I learned historiography, the writer would always put a bit of their self opinion about the matter, with the way they delivered it. So yeah, none of any history or any kind in the world could ever be pure.
All of them wants to rule the empire, they are blinded of their sinful desire for power. Greed for the throne bridge contemp and hatred. Hatred leads them to even greater sin which is to kill.
Osmanli s way of ruling was not asto Islamic rules. İslam dictates the ruler to be chosen by the leaders of the country Shura. None of islamic states in the history was able to realize it apart for the 4 Rashidi Khalifa period.

How can they killed their sultan ? Why sultan dont have much man to protect him or his army ? According to this sultan is not powerful like they said. The law never let you kill a sultan . Sultan was everything ?
