My former hisband worked 4.5 years as a medical student and Im so glad that he pulled out of it. He prioritised his family and life balance over what is "an obsessive career". He already had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and a very strong work ethic. Doctoring would have killed off his health a lot earlier than it did leaving us with lots of great memories. ❤ wouldnt have had
A lovely story, enjoyed every part of it. Started sadly 😥 but ended lovely. The writer is genuine and very good. If it was a book I would have loved to buy it. Thanks to the writer and the publisher. May we have more stories like in.Thanks .
This is a wonderful story, l love it….I’m so glad I found this. The caring heart, kindness and compassion of the doctor towards others moved me. It has given me an uplifting heart in a time when positive thinking and caring about others is needed desperately in a world gone mad with extremes. Many times we find ourselves in similar situations and circumstances, where work and life in general consumes us from enjoying and appreciating the more simpler things in life. Thus forgetting how much we had missed after getting older and wondering where all the time flew by us….🤣. I’m 75 and can relate with the doctor’s story. I wasn’t a surgeon, but working daily, including sometimes over the weekends just to make ends meet, which also took valuable time away from being with my children. I was a single mom then, so it was harder to have time with my children. Afterwards, I had gone to college. It wasn’t easy, but I’m happy to say, at least we stayed together as a family and that is what is the most important part of all. It was difficult to do at times, since it was especially hard to enjoy camping out together, or go fishing somewhere with NO vehicle running, but at least we could go to the movies once in awhile, thanks to bus service and cab fare to take us there and back home. It’s the little things in life that matters, and listening to your children when they have problems is a must do, even when you don’t have the time to do it….it’s what keeps a family more together and appreciative of each other’s support when things are tough to endure. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
There are so many good stories shared online. Be it a true story or not but they are for us to ponder and emulate the good ones and put aside those demoralizing like infedelity and cheating that ended in losing the trust of their loved ones n finally divorced. Despite the many good examples we read from the sharing of people there are still many who think the grass is greener on the other side of their fences.
Thankyou for sharing this story I loved it ,sense my surgery I have not been able to read this was so refreshing to listen and not watch I liked the storyline....good life 😊
The places in the first chapter, all within one sentence, that are outrageously mispronounced-- are being mispronounced by a human being.....that sentence shows the book is read by an AI voice. Perhaps even WRITTEN in it's entirety by AI.
How very sad that 80 of the noted comments here are so judgmental rather than appreciative of the stories within the story which were terrific. Thanks to the author! Frankly the seeming need to jump all over things with an immediate need to tear things or people down - our society has some serious work ahead to get back to a place of love, allowance, kindness and support.
Bravo ! You couldn't be more correct, we are currently on a slippery slope going to hxxx in a hand basket ! The more you try to be polite and courteous the more you get slapped down !
Yes society today isn't the best for helping people. I look back at how it was when I was a kid. Big difference. I'm 70 now. Grandparents helped in raising me . Good morals and please care for others
This is a wonderful story. I had never finished listening to a story before. The creative genius of the author is unbelievable. I can't thank enough the author. May she/he blessed and eternally happy
10 out 10 for this story. It was a tad shaky to start with but the plot was good and the characters ended up happily whole and happy. Mana for the soul, thanks. The world is pretty mixed up at present and a feel good story lifts one.
Great story. So glad and it also shows how one person's nice and caring deed ripples on and on. A lot of times we don't know how much good even a small word of kindness can help so many people because of the ripple effect. Need .many more stories like this. So people can apply this to their own life. All we need to do is open our eyes and ❤️ heart to one another.
It's a wonderful story so many lessons to be learned from it and how to live our life in a positive way.Your new subscriber from the Philippines. Thanks a lot.
Are you an English speaker? There are lots of mispronunciations which make me laugh as they are so outrageous. Eg. composure sounds more like compose-ooray. I enjoy these stories for the wrong reason 🤣
True the AI pronunciation is terrible, but the uplifting stories are far better than the standard evil MIL ones so many other channels do. Keep in mind that AI learns, so mabe we can hope for better pronunciation in the future. Who among us is perfect? 😉👍
What an awesome story. You Ryan are an angel in disguise. It is good to hear something so positive and even though it had some shaky parts i will admit it was worth listening to. I now at 56 have no idea where the time has flown by. Its been quick, I have some regrets and wish i could do over. Dont be like me. Live for today, stay close to family, your children, friends, and always be kind to others because you never know how you can change a persons life by just being kind. Its a win win situation. I now know what family means. This story reminded me how fast life goes by us. I was just 25 having my first born it seems like. I would like to change things around and lord knows I've tried. Im soon going to be a grandmother again to my 4th grandchild and am happy I have a chance with my grandbabies. To those out there struggling to servive. Be strong, do your best, love,💛love,💚love,💜 those closest to your heart,💗 and most of all be kind to everyone❣️
And stories like this Homeless woman is why I'm so glad I live in a civilised country with public healthcare. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of good things about the US, but it's total lack of care for the health of its citizens has always bothered me.
Yes, I can never understand how and why America, the world's richest nation does not have a national healthcare system that takes care of all it's citizens, rich or poor. When it comes to healthcare, surprisingly most of them don't want their tax money goes to any form of national healthcare. America is a very capitalistic nation : I take care of myself and too bad for you.
@@leanderrowe2800Socialized healthcare is Not the answer. THE biggest difference is having loving family and friends support. My parents RIP were from a Communist country: in socialized medicine there's >always< a different level of care (and options) available for those with money to spare VS. those without it. And even private insurances have serious flaws: my wife RIP was once kicked out of the hospital AGAINST her own doctor's instructions… because the allotted treatment/protocol did not fit the costs-treatment guidelines of the insurance. (Her doctor later told me that if I had refused, not gone along with the insurance's abrupt decision, and spoken to her, my wife's doctor, directly, then things could have been different.) Bottom line is: the more paper-pushing, numbers-calculating, or Govt/insurance administrators are deciding what/how a patient's care/treatment is to be… INSTEAD OF the doctor with the patient together… the worse things will be.
I can't believe that some medical staff are so unkind to homeless woman. They should not be in the medical field. Ryan is an amazing doctor. He is the right person in the medical profession. God bless him for helping the poor.
The English language is the hardest to learn. Even some Americans have a hard time with this language. You have to be an English scholar to truly understand the English language. 😊❤
This is a good story, even the villain of the piece did a U turn and rejoined the human race. I did find the part about the missing documents rather odd. There must be some system for getting duplicates. What happens if there is for example a fire?
In the UK a Senior Surgeon (or consultant) is always called Mr So&So not Doctor & we don't call dentists doctor either. That's probably because they're not doctors but dentists
Along with another respondant, id like to say the story line captured me. The person narrating needs replacing. The voices she (it) uses aren't congruent with the character being expressed. Id like to read for this one myself, except I'd probably expect a bit more than a machine reading it. AI can't replace human feeling and expression. Otherwise, the story is working...enough that i want to finish it. Thanks for letting us hear it.
The voice.tone and stories are great but please pronounce the English words correctly. The stories are great and the sound good, but its hard to follow when words are not pronounced correctly, even then I watch to the end just to see the end of another interesting and novel story. Thank you.
Very nice story. You didnt do the nurse justice. As a nurse, We wouldn’t turn away a patient, nor would we ignore her and certainly not treat her the way she was treated. You should make your characters more like they really are in life
DENIALS DO HAPPEN!! My Mama was at death's door when she was turned away by a nurse on grounds that computers were down. The doctor heard my step-dad raising cane, so he came to the front desk... literally saving her life. Mama had a major blood clot in her arm. Despite her arm being ice cold that nurse was perfectly okay with inviting this in order to avoid manually pulling her record. Desk personnel had been sent home, because they had not planned to see patients. That's no excuse to kill. I'm glad i you're a good one, but these do exsist.
I was admitted to hospital with a broken femur...a sister bought a wheelchair and asked me to get off the bed and walk to the wheelchair...when i told her i couldnt.she sent an orderly to wheel my bed to the xray..and on passing the nurses station she said there goes the princess who cant walk...as i was bed bound and helpless i let it go...but if i EVER see that woman again i WILL have her.!!! Ppl like that shouldnt be in the profession.
There ARE nursing staff and doctors that turn away from patients...i have had such an experience.(.posted on here.).AND.my children were looked after by beverly allitt..she used to come to my home and take them to the park..!
