PLEASE NOTE! This is NOT a public elevator so if you do come here, please don't bother the staff about it as it puts them in an awkward situation., however you DEFINITELY should ask them for some Death by Chocolate cake
The chocolate cake did look really good! I'm actually more of a carrot cake person and I will not bug them for their elevator but I would like to meet the people who work there. The building definetly does look more retro.
That cake looks soooo tasty, and I am a chocolate LOVER! 😋 I don’t think I’ve been on an older hydro, especially from the ‘40s, so this elevator automatically gets an amazing rating!
That’s a pretty nice restaurant and bakery In Roanoke. It’s so good. I’m might check it out once I’m visiting Roanoke. I would love me some Chocolate Cake!!!
If you ever decide to quit working for Norfolk Southern, you should start your own business giving people tours of the City of Roanoke. You know of all the best sights to see.
Dear DieselDucy, I hope this message finds you well. My name is Lucas, and I'm a long-time viewer from the United Kingdom, having followed your videos since 2016. Your content has been a source of inspiration and fascination for me. I've developed a deep fondness for the lift transporter buttons featured in your videos, particularly because they remind me of the ones in my grandmother's building. They hold a special place in my heart. I have a humble request. I would be immensely grateful if I could acquire the lift transporter call station and panel from your museum collection. It would mean the world to me to have these cherished items in my possession. Thank you for considering my request. Your generosity would truly make a significant difference in my life. P.S My birthday is coming up soon! Yours sincerly, Lucas

What a unique elevator. I didn't realize Century (the brand that made the motor) made other motors that weren't in their ceiling fans back in the 1910's, guess you learn something new every day
Dieselducy eats chocolate cake met a wonderful woman name Amelia view of the steps a freight elevator with a wooden gate door we get to see the machine room and a burger review this was on the livestream
The cake actually looked like it was freshly made, not processed at all. I typically like a good carrot cake but I also do like chocolate cake and this one did like really good. If I do every visit Roanoke, I will stop by Evie's to definetly have a slice of cake in addition to wanting to see the Market Parking Garage.
@@DieselDucyyou should see the elevator at Milton's at South Shore Plaza in Braintree. It is an Otis Hydraulic from 1956. It had its pump replaced with a Canton Pump, but it is still nothing short of epic.
This is awesome!! If I ever go to Roanoke I’d definitely go there! Local neighbourhood businesses are the best and we need more of them!! Awesome elevator as well!
I didn’t even know antique hydraulic elevators like this one were a thing. And it’s amazing. Also, That chocolate cake you had looked delicious, chocolate cake is my favorite.
That was so sweet of that lady to let you check out there elevator that shows we need more people like her in this world. I love sweets that are gluten-free, dairy free, and vegan as well. I’m on a diet myself and I feel astonished when I eat healthier and that they have healthy options. Everyone loves loves you Andrew and I’m so glad that we have people like her to understand you. Evys restaurant is a amazing name of the restaurant as it describes my name a little bit. I also love love the lights especially the chandelier and that bakery products are starting to become a healthier option. Evys restaurant very curious when it became existed. Evys a sweet name and astonishing name too
If I ever come here Andrew then I PROMISE I won't ask to ride the elevator! I'm NEVER that type of person to do that! I would only come here and eat chocolate cake without nuts and brownies without nuts since I hate the taste of nuts! So you have my word Andrew! I TOTALLY understand that the employees are really busy!
