I have heard a lot of talks about leadership and the stores about great leaders r pretty common now. Yet I have never met any person who is THAT leader we keep hearing about in leadership lectures. I have worked in several organisation and everywhere I saw nothing but reward and punishment. That's all. Maybe in an underdeveloped country like india people actually find reward and punishment ideal to control people as most people r poor and afraid of survival. This reward and punishment is not just in companies but families and even whole govt. If western world has seen transformational leaders in govt and even in everyday life...u r really lucky. Back in india....everywhere there is nothing but reward and punishment...and I feel totally hopeless as whole population has accepted this as eternal reality of performance. This inspite of zillions of leadership seminars.
