As a bronze mercy main…go open, get tanks, + Ana and Lucio, everyone presses w and wins. Best game was almost 30k heals for me alone on Ana. My rein was adorable and looked after me, saving me from flankers. I didn’t even have to react to the flanks, I just kept healing rein and in turn rein kept me alive.

As a support main I can DPS queue guilt free because I cant swap to support mid match if we need it. It made me actuay have fun and not feel bad for playing anything but heals because in open if we had 2 supports at all without me healing (or even me not having to solo heal) made role queue and even DPS wait times such a relief for me

Anybody who thinks role que is bad for the game is stupid. I’ve played way too many comp matches pre-role que where 3 people instalock DPS and now I’m solo healing because the Hanzo main who is 4-12 refuses to switch. Fuck open que.

ngl, it's not even just GOATS... i went back and watched like an old OWL Gibraltar with Winston DVa, and just watching the tanks rotating looked so annoying because there's a Winston bubble and then Matrix and then bubble and then Matrix, and you just can't do anything. How did we play that for so long, LOL.

This One Wracking ball had to play 3 times against them in a row

Also the tanks in OW2 are balanced for only 1 tank so they are much more powerful that they were in OW, which is why its so essential to play them in open queue

@@Blueslime76 this was a joke regarding the open que all tanks goats they ran in the video. DPS are good in role que of course (especially sojourn atm) and some dps have been used with some success in goats comps in the past so you could play some in open que. Examples: reaper and mei

yeah its great you have no wait times and the teams actually feel way better as a compostion most of the time. i feel like being able to go 2 tanks or 3 dps is a nice tactical switch u can use to turn around a game that seems lost.

@@nurpiet Lol, did you say “tactical?” Just pick three tanks and two healers or four tanks (one is Hog) and Bap and run over every team. My friends and I all rank between Diamond 1 and masters 2 on role queue, and decided to play open queue. We all placed masters 1 and in 10 games we were GM 4🤣. From my experience, people just pick what they want in open queue, and complain about people stacking tanks when they just want to play DPS. Open queue rank can easily be an arcade mode. The only serious got easily tilted and called us “try hards” for stacking tanks. If you stack dps in open queue, you better hope that the other team is doing the same, because if they’re stacking tanks, it’s over. Tanks do a crap ton of damage and have a crap ton of health. Add an imo field and rally armor and it’s curtains for the enemy team.

Idk why but 3 tanks 2 healers seems perfect to me. That way you can alternate heals if one dies

we literally did the same (only two classes) but four supports one tank. i only died once and since we were a four stack, thank god our rando teammate rolled with it and at the second flashpoint we were holding they had to yell "HOW" because we were somehow rolling the other team that went two tanks, one dps two healers LMAOOOOOOO

Issues are it has very little variety (wayyyy less characters to choose from with DPS completely gone) and you're practically guaranteed to lose if a single person decides they want to play DPS today. Similarly, Goats was really fun as far as I heard. The problem was how long it lasted.

@@jacobnorris8256 i think dps do have a role in Open Q if you A: Melt the fuck out of tanks, or B: Can dive healers. It really depends on the tanks you guys pick.

I've been playing hog in open queue with friends and whenever we fight 4 tanks and one healer team i get so f sad. But when we do win games like this the excitment is out of this world.

What rank are you? Every game is 3 tank 2 support or 4 tank 1 support since the beta

@@kamay7021 I was in diamond in overwatch 1 but for some reason every game I play in open queue everyone just insta locks damage so I just stick to role queue

It does feel really bad when you got like, a 90% wr record on comp only to get silver 2 after placements. It felt hella demoralising

On my synmetra only account where i was high diamond. They put me in silver 4, i won all 7 games. On my support i was masters and got placed plat like wtf

Fun fact: goats was pretty much this lineup except brig instead of bap. Goats was actually the biggest push behind role queue.

Also with the first if the Orisa hadn't haulted the healer would have just gone for a ride than die to a pin

You would always have two tanks, two supports, and one dps. Really no reason to play a dps if you can have a second tank.
