Crazy that emoting, an in-game feature, is illegal, while players like APA are openly flaming their opponents using all chat and having their messages be promoted on official broadcast.
@@folkenberger what the matter with K'sante again ? they did a zeri and fuck up the only chance of the champ to be ballance(taht being giving the riven treatment and make everything be about skill expression ) and now it shit except in pro play .
thing is, if they take a win like this, it just means they don't believe in themselves in the first place. so there's no way they would ever go pro in the future anyways xD
@@madkip4991and yet the K'Sante said he discussed it with the team and they gave the all clear and it wasn't his decision. Really looked like he's trying to shift blame there's no way he told his group what happened in that time and they all agreed to leave, that was 6 seconds since he died.
@@AmokBR but it wasn't even deliberate. It was the automatic First Blood emote, he didn't press a button to tilt the opponent. Imo it's completely immature to call that foul.
Rules like " no emoting in game" should be enforced before the game begins, not after. They literally play on custom clients for tournaments, just disable it via the client. This should never be something that is used to punish players, the tournament organizers have the ability to remove the problem before a game even begins.
Marshalls ask the players to remove the emote before the game starts, they also have a separate group chat that includes all team captain that briefs all rules on the rulebook.
@@zenithxabyss8023 Remove EMOTES, not REACTIONS. First Blood is a REACTION, it's literally on a separate tab which is a NEW FEATURE and is hard to spot. which they did not, so by TECHNICALITY, which Defiled seems to enjoy sucking so much, they're in the clear.
PHILIPPINES MENTIONED 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭 Filipino LoL player here. That was all true. The saddest thing about it is that the organizers insisted that they communicated the "no emote" rules to the team captains, but then apparently forgot to tell their own marshals (tournament officials) to check if the auto-emotes were disabled. Caedrel comment on this says a lot: "The most disgusting, embarrasing, trashy ass f*cking dog sh*t tournament organizer I've ever heard of in my life". It's unfortunate that the Match 33 incident is the biggest thing to come out from the Filipino LoL esports scene (so far), we've been trying to rebuild the scene for years but this was a major setback. Shame on the organizers for this, and to the players who were being sticklers about the unfair rules.
@@handlmycck I'd rather have my country be absent from it, than getting such a ridiculous thing happen. I couldnt care less about Filipino LoL esports (no offense), but this story makes me hella mad and I wish the tournament had better organizers
Additional Info for the Disqualified team The marshals/officials were friends of the organizer and had no clue how League of legends works and the rules were made by the husband and when people complained the husband responded as if he owns the tournaments
@@ChurchOfACCENDIOWell, he grinded in Season 3 to become a pro in Mineski, but after that, he washed up. Even challenger players were destroying him. Then he tried to be a pro again in WR, but he used his connections. Lmao.
Every time we justify people being offended for small actions, we lower the threshold for people complaining and being triggered. This cannot end well 😭
Meanwhile in fighting games: "Oh, you're playing safe? Well let me just crouch spam for 10 seconds until you get angry and throw out a predictable attack."
Another goofy thing in this whole fiasco is that while they implemented that "no emote" rule, other teams has also been caught using emotes but they did not suffer the same consequence as the West Point Esports did (the team that got DQ'd). In addition to that, one of the players of the team that took advantage of the disqualification of the other team have a inappropriate IGN that surprisingly caused no issues nor warnings, both of the IGN is Defile (the guy that died on the first blood and cried to the game marshals) and Jackol which means Masturbate in tagalog.
@@Rivalrvn It's true... it's actually against RIOT ToS as inappropriate name but the organizers let it pass because it was just mispelled with one letter "c".
@@caramelfrappe402 this isn't Riot's fault. They're not the organizers. Riot basically gave the okay for countries like PH to organize their own tournames, grassroots like, and this is the PH organizer's fault.
Eyy is me, it was really wild to see that disqualification live, and the fact that these were Ivy league players De la salle to booth (literally the filipino version of Harvard) is just crazy.
Imagine if Veigar was viable in competitive play, the champion automatically laughs when he gets a kill. Would that result in disqualification as well?
"Transcendent tier" It has a kill count feature that multiple skins have already. It has less voice lines than a number of Legendary skins. It has a unique takedown animation... that's a feature you get for just switching your Player Icon when you play URF on any champion. It evolves as you level... which some skins already do and Kayle does by default. It has a unique CTRL+5 emote... that other skins use already. It's only "Transcendent" in it's price tag. If Riot wanted to make the skin it's own tier. It'd require a level of development and effort comparable to Elementalist Lux, an Ultimate Skin which pretty much set Riot at an unmatched standard for their Ultimate Skins (Which is why Gun Goddess MF, KDA Seraphine and Soul Fighter Samira were blasted so much for being considered the same tier and why Spirit Guard Udyr and Pulsefire Ezreal had to be visually reworked).
Genuinely true though. Like, let's put into perspective the price of Elementalist Lux (3250 RP) and the price of BASE Risen Ahri (5430 RP) Based on the official League video and Skin Spotlights, already you can see, that the so called "Transcendent" skin is nowhere close to the development level of Elementalist Lux. Even the "Signature Risen Ahri" (59260 RP) only tops Elementalist Lux in the fact that it has a "special kill effect" and that it has Faker's Signature on it. Riot DID mention that they won't ever make another skin like Elementalist Lux (because you were essentially loading in 10 skins in one champion), but nonetheless, creating a new tier when a skin in a supposed "lower tier" has arguably similar or even better development effort for something 10x cheaper.
@@hmmm.324 You know what elementalist lux-tier skin could be made for faker ? An ori, azir, or ryze skin with versions for each season he used them in worlds
the best part? The player and his team fought in the Semis (because they won due to DQ of the opposing team) and lost with a huge gap in Game 1. Then get demolished on Game 2 with a more bigger gap.
My heart goes out for the Families affected by the car accident and the unfortunate health complication that led to Zuna's death. Rest in peace Zuna and Stay strong players of AOMA.
@@mark5338???? How does that make it not unfortunate?? More expected, maybe, but you literally just sound like a piece of shit saying that. Try to have even a LITTLE bit of empathy for once in your life
As a student of said university i would like to apologize for our player's inability to have a spine as well as being a player with no sportsmanship but the saying of spoiled brats in the school are undoubtedly true
I love how K'Sante design looks similar to like a humble giga chad that everyone would like, and the player that was playing him is the biggest snowflake ever known to mankind 🦐
Ksante players are comparable to riven back in the day: bad on normal elo so their player are salty tryhards, and on high elo they are so over their heads with that overloaded pos champ that they think they are the new faker. Ksante players, riven or Darius but even more of an hypocrites
The stupid things are somehow the organizer/judge just ask the losing team a question that can give them free win if they say no. Ofc they no. It's crazy if they didn't even think that.
the emote thing reminds me of what happened a month ago at my school esports smash game i taunted and the enemy team (whos also a snobby school district) calls for a 30 minute dispute against it we beat them anyways, but 30 minutes lost is a lot for something being used as intended
Next week, tune in to watch a professional LoL team get disqualified for taking the first blood itself. It’s just so mean to kill the opposing team like that. They should have to apologize.
2:42 this leagues refree system is dog shit. Shit-talk, mind games, and the like are at the HIGHEST levels of every competitive sport. Dennis Rodman and Larry Bird are 2 infamous mouthy LEGENDS on the basketball court. This is the type of moderation and refereeing that will ruin a league of legends community. Despicable ruling.
@@majseketin2280it’s totally not like riot has a fucking system that punishes people who get mad… it’s not like riot remove emotes for perceived meany ness.
Remember, the ward is no reason to buy the Hall of Legends pass. Keep your money, deprive Riot Games. Permaban Ahri! If they want to get greedy they can have nothing.
This is K'Sante, a champion with 4,700 HP, 329 Armor, and 201 MR, has Unstoppable, a Shield, and goes over walls. Has Airborne, and the cooldown is only 1 second too. It costs 15 Mana. The W CD is even refreshed when he transforms. He has true damage on his passive. Then, when he stacks Armor and MR, he gets Ability Haste too, Ability Haste to his Q, and his spell casting speeds up. Then, he has an AD ratio, so his W…AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Its an old rule before emotes were added. It became a rule as people would spam ctrl 1,2,3 etc including mastery spamming and it was considered toxic. Then emotes got added and rules haven't adjusted or specified what is banned in tourneys like the one mentioned. I think a lot of organizations need to relook at their rules as the game is always changing.
I’d argue that spamming an emote excessively maybe could be considered unsportsmanlike, but an automated activation resulting in a DQ is just ridiculous
They could have just them a warning rather than being disqualified. Also The summoner name "Jackol" in the Philippines literally means "Masturbate". How could a proplayer have such an inappropriate in-game name and not get disqualified?
The organizer did a very shit job as well to add onto that, they didn't resolve the problem BUT INSTEAD THEY POST A HORRIBLY EDITED APOLOGY VIDEO AND PROMISED ANOTHER EVENT AS IF ONE SHIT SHOW WAS NOT ENOUGH
Damn. i am Dutch and i had the owner from AOMA as a teacher for a Minor for school. Some of us almost had a job at his team, sad to hear this happend with his team :(
The one thing that really confuses me when it came to the PH local tournament is that, "No Emotes" was in the rules then why didn't they account for the Auto Emotes in the first place and check all the accounts to have their emotes be empty. As a Filipino League player, it really hurts to see this type of shit and it just decreases the revive of league in the PH.
It feels as if the team is waiting for the enemy to fk up so they can immediately call for DQ and have a chance to win. The way they left the game and messaged the marshals was too quick.
Ady reminds me of lehends. He got first challenger in korea playing sion, singed and elise support. He was such a random player and now he's one of the best supports in the world. So here's hoping for ady to do the same!
Proud to be Filipino 🇵🇭 Funny coz something like this happened in other events here as well. Card games had people rulesharking their way to a Top 3 finish. Also partly because the TO/Judge was close to them 💀
Speaking about emotes, can you talk at least a little bit about how they nerfed the seasons rewards? at least in the exclusive emote, we are used to have a emote that has a banner of our highest rank but the last season we only got an all-rank general emote, anivia 2024 split 1 which exist only on gold version, and this season we are getting the most default design of a regular tryndamere emote
Here in the Philippines we have something called Computer Cafes and sometimes some Cafes setup LAN parties(which i sometimes witnessed watching it) and let me tell you these LAN parties have the best Trashtalks in the LAN parties so having emotes bannable is just dumb as fuck
bro had the audacity to play kasante into a favorable skill matchup lose first blood and instantly dc even tho kasante can easily recover and scale he just didnt wanna be weaksided the entire game... such fragile ego
It will be understandable if the use of EMOTES will be used in bad faith, like communicating to the enemy team to win trade. Cant believe the rule was enforced because his ego was hurt!?
I heard they (the organizers)(DQ incident) got scammed after they booked and paid for a resort reservation to a resort that doesn't fucking exist😂. Talk about karma.
If you want more info: The organizers didn't turned the decision and just went with it. It's so funny that an emote was the cause of DQ, but there's a player there with a very inappropriate name which was "jackol" meaning masturbate. ✋😂
I was also planning to participate in that tournament because we rarely see a tournament in the PH League, so some of the content creators want to revive the League community more by announcing they have events for league players, and now this is what happened. I know it's their fault, but it's kind of harsh to make them stop making events because of a single-failure tournament. and according to the creator of tournament Suzzysaur she apologized for what happened and she just followed their own rule and that causes these issue, she also promised to make another events and make it better this time in future. In my opinion if only their rules are good it could go well but it became hell of a mess, imagine emote is banned because it causes toxicity while inappropriate name is accepted that's fked up good thing there's no racist names and about disability person names out there or I just didn't notice
what's funny is the marshalls asked the LOSING team if they would still continue the game. well what'd ya know? of course the LOSING team answered yes, and the marshalls agreed to it do dq the team.
the fact a go fund me was opened for a funeral of a player in the highest paid esport game is disgusting, how money hungry some people are and how far theyre willing to milk a death of a family member. sad and disappointing what the world has gotten to
Accurate Filipino behavior. I am not kidding I have encountered many types of players when every time it doesn't go their way they just try to feed and blame it's own team for not letting him/her: Pick last, ban specific champions, or just encountering that one player who he/she hates. But since it is based on a situation that Ksante has experienced, most of the players here are just too fed up seeing a toxic emote spamming non-stop.
To anyone who didnt know, the team who asked them to be disqualified has done this before in other games. they seemed to be sore losers and this rule isnt enforced by the orginizers but a university and the Org will remove the rule in future tournaments.
Emotes that do not affect the game should not be illegal. The tournament organizers are new and yet cocky. One of them even said on facebook (translated to English) that "this is my house so they should follow my rules. If I let them you in my house and you get kicked out for not following, you will cry". Just arrogance for a no name "organizer"
