I was 15 when I knew this song.. And now I'm 35, I'm still here. Rekindle my younger days, when I was just a carefree bubbly girl. I miss mtvasia. Love, fr. Philippines
A-Teens are 80s babies.. and were teenagers during early 2000s.. 80s babies were so lucky that they jam with good music from Christina Aguilera, Mandy Moore, Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, S Club 7, Backstreet Boys, NSync etc
I was born 1990 and loved all them! Britney spears was my favorite tho! At 6 I told my dad backstreet boys was my favorite but then discovered Britney and it was game over for everyone haha but I did love ateens later in their career I was like 11 when I started loving ateens but I think they split up when I was 13 or 14 made me sad
It’s 2023 this song is not getting old I never get tired to play even for how many years or decade will passed such a great masterpiece during my childhood days ❤
"Sugar Rush" is the perfect way to describe the late 90s - early 00s wave of pop music. It was so sweet, sunny, and carefree. I never knew about A*Teens back then (I knew of American pop music mostly), but hearing this song and watching the video now takes me back to that time and vibe.
Eat, sleep, study and play. Repeat. High school days. Enjoying my life of being young and carefree. Complicated life? Not at all. That's what I remember from this song. ❤️❤️❤️
Not same now. Stupid music and can not soul become nicer and purer from it. So bored with music today. Stupid Miley to Justin Bibber. Never have any sounds music same before. So so so sad
Everytime I listen to this song I always feel joyful and it truly brings me back the simplicity of time. I hope one day good music like this will rise again. Very nostalgic! 🤢♥️♥️♥️
El segundo disco de A*teens llamado Teen Spirit se merecía un Grammy por ser el mejor álbum POP lejos del año 2001. Incluía 13 temas y todas las canciones de ese álbum son de culto, POP de la vieja escuela. Les amo.
30 Sep 2017 i am now travelling in Iran and then realised i have not been hearing any songs lately, then i go straight to Ateens Vevo. This song amazes me
I agree Hanna, when I was a kid I loved the A*teens, M2M, Spice girls Britney, TLC Hoku all of them. I think the 90's had the best music and I was uber happy to have been a kid at that time. :)
I was 5 or 6 when I first heard this song. It's not just the beautiful tune of the song that gets me, but the fact that it reminds me of those who I was listening to it with who are now gone. All those memories just start comes flooding back.
I remember that they were the coolest group out there when I was growing up. I really miss groups like this, who sang fun and catchy songs. I wish music today was still like this :/
We were lucky to have this music in our early years, this was honest and meaningful, today's kids have Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B… That's SAD :/
Um sorry but a lot of 90s music had sex and drugs too. In fact I remember an episode of Sister Sister that basically said 90s music was the devil and that like, 70s music was better. And even then the people of that episode were wrong because the 60s - 70s were basically entirely about hippies with their taking acid and "free love" ideas about having orgies. Basically music of every generation had this drugs and sex. A*Teens specifically is supposed to be kid friendly, and plenty of Disney Channel and Nick stars still have kid friendly songs. Did you forget Kidz Bop was a thing too? They censored everything if you're too worried about your kids hearing bad stuff. But chances are you heard a lot of this adult music in your childhood and still ended up being a productive member of society. So stop complaining about music and realize it really doesn't have that much of an effect on how people grow up.
@DJ DaveRave aka Dave Gordon right, besides Miley isn’t what kids listen to anymore lol. They listen to Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo now. I love them.
Just to update something. They split up in September of 2004 with a Greatest Hits-album. Marie released her solo album in 2006 and she has been working on tv in Sweden, Amit released one in 2008, Sara has some songs but she never released any album and Dhani has only one song. Hopefully they return someday.
This song is from the A-teens album 'Teen Spirit' and the only cover they did on the album was Morning Light. I know it since I'm a big fan. And Dreamstreet's version was released after 2 months of the A-teens releasing.
