I have had 3 brand new T 800 day cabs since 1992. My last one was a 2013 Extended cab that I enjoyed driving here in New England the last eight years. I am definitely a KW fan. But I have to say my company put me in a new 880 and I miss that T 800
the only thing I dont like about the smart wheel is that you cant replace it with a after market :old school" looking wheel. I guess you could but there would be wires just hanging out. love Kenworths though!
@@AndyTheKenworthGuy since the T800 and W900 are currently on life support, you should make another video at the Renton, WA plant, the video you made there is one of my favorites
What a absolutely stunning truck all the additions certainly make it stand out from the crowd I wish we could have trucks like that over here in the UK 🇬🇧 cracking video as usual Andy best wishes from joff in the UK 🇬🇧
Very cool build Andy! Sorry to hear the paccar engine is no longer being offered. I wasn’t sure but it looked like this build was missing the hand brake. Is that true? If so, what’s the alternate stopping method for slowing the trailer?
Call me a broken record if you want but I still say if only 1 stack is being used then only have 1 stack put on at the factory and take the money that that it would have cost and upgrade the interior. But it still looked like there is enough room under the cab to hook up the other one. Otherwise a nice truck. I’ll take mine in that gorgeous blue that you painted that dump truck a couple weeks ago
Why does Kenworth continue to put those cheap mirrors on the T800? The mirrors on the front of the hood are worthless as they are constantly vibrating out of position because the hood itself constantly vibrates. They need to upgrade the door mirrors and add a controller for the convex mirrors like they do in Europe on I believe it's the Volvo's or Scania's. I drive a T800 and that is my one pet peeve, the freakin mirrors and how much you have to physically play with them to get them adjusted correctly
