Hi Signe, I love the skirt form Armed Angels on you. I know you don't wear skirts often but with the hi tops or trainers or sandals, it looks really cool and feminine without being too 'sweet'. Good choice!

i like to buy huaraches from mexico whenever i need sandals! i find that they’re most often from woman owned businesses and well produced! and they’re a part of the mexican culture so it just feels good!

I'm very petite, and one of my favorite tricks is to pair edgy pieces with more feminine ones. Head-to-toe feminine can often look "precious," or come across as juvenile, especially on petites. I like that you pair edgy and feminine in your wardrobe, as well, Signe :)

Those sandals are super cute and minimal! Love them ❤️ And in my opinion, buying something that is good quality and in line with your personal style is just as important as buying from a sustainable brand. I would still call that slow fashion ☺️

I really love your current hairstyle! I also loved your hair before, but this natural look makes you appear younger in my opinion. The blond hair from before made you look more business-woman and mature. I personally like both looks on you. =)

Lovely spring wardrobe! That midi skirt is so pretty. 💕 Getting the shorter espadrilles was wise--I have higher ones and don't feel comfortable wearing them with a little one on the hip!

Can I just say I appreciate you going to your baby.. It upsets me to see people more interested in making their video than going to their crying child.. Which is just way more important imo (Hope that doesn't sound patronising, it just made me happy that you left(!)). I really like your style and outfits. I recently bought a load of clothes (gained a little weight and wanted to update my wardrobe).. But I realised that rather than buy what I needed (one or two pieces) I'd slipped into old ways and went a bit crazy! I took all but two things back. So whilst I slipped - which was disappointing, Im glad I was able to recognise it (and get my money back!). X

A really amazing goal I have made this year is that I gave away clothes to my students and they love when I bring more clothes for them. The rest I'm selling but it makes me so happy that they are getting new life with people who appreciate them.

Your first look here, the skirt top and blazer outfit, is my go-to look, or style uniform, for most of the year. I don’t really get to express my summer style because I don’t go out much in the intense California heat, our two hottest months begin today, August 1. Now I’m limiting my outings as much as possible again because of the explosion of the Delta variant here in the San Francisco Bay Area. (I’m fully vaccinated, of course, but at high risk because of respiratory problems). I just wear my half-dozen comfy cool viscose-knit dresses and Birkies at home, it’s so boring. I’m longing for Autumn so that I can wear layers again and not get into a car that is 150F every time I need to run an errand. I miss going clothes shopping, hanging out in bookstores and cafes, restaurant meals, etc.

I would not buy viscose because a poison is needed to extract the viscose and employees get neurological damage. Cotton is also not recommended because it requires a lot of water. I prefer wool and linen. All can be combined with polyester because it serves better and longer. It does not absorb odours like linen, so you can wear it longer without washing.

Looking pretty as ever!! Have you looked into portuguese and spanish shoe brands? We have a shoemaking tradition and the quality is really good, made locally and with ethical work conditions. The sustainability of the materials + production would be something I’d like to know your opinion on... I always look for transparency but it’s hard to know! Castaner is one of them but there’s many more. Anyway I’d recommend checking it out :)

I would love some extra motivation and tips on wardrobe editing. I’m having trouble motivating myself and am not sure how to proceed. I don’t have things I dislike or can’t wear, just too, too, much of everything, from socks to shirts. If I had a spare room, I’d convert it to a closet, but I don’t. I got so carried away online shopping because of lockdown/isolation boredom that I doubled the already-large size of my wardrobe. With one short intermission, I’ve been on isolation since 2/1/20. I have racks of clothes everywhere and feel that I should just get rid of things, even if I love them, which seems crazy. What to do?
