Third installment in a series of videos on carbon fiber parts for the KLR650. These carbon fiber skins just snap onto the lower fork legs and can be purchased from A to Z at the following link: atozcomposites.com/products/f...
They don't look bad, though I agree they're a bit on the shiny side for a KLR. The challenge now is to get them scuffed up enough to do a before/after video :)
I guess if you like the look of these, they could be worth something. If this company is producing carbon fiber parts, they should look into ways of replacing factory steel parts with carbon fiber replacements for weight savings.
It’s the Kawasaki box that comes installed on the Traveler model. It’s held up well for more than a year now. It’s not super heavy-duty but it locks securely and it detaches from the tail rack quickly and easily.
I don’t have it with me at the moment but, IIRC, I think it’s a G-2310. Not my very favorite G-Shock but this is the most accurate example I’ve ever timed. It gains less than a tenth of a second per day. I seem to recall that Prince William was photographed wearing this model during his military service.
Everyone, look, over there... it's the elusive butthurt horologist, lashing out over a review someone posted on the internet years ago! I swear, someone should write a research paper about how pissy the hard-core collector geeks get when anyone deigns to criticize any aspect of their obscure little corner of an already obscure subculture. I can't tell if the Simpsons image that comes to mind is more "comic book guy", or "old man yells at cloud". I guess it depends on whether s/he typed that from their own basement, or their mom's. (and no, I'm not throwing shade at watch guys in general - I'm subscribed to a couple watch forums myself, but rarely actually engage with those guys, because... yeah...)
