It's a mindset thing Matt. You have the skill and IQ, technical ability etc. But the thing holding you back is the mindset you take with you into the game. Change from a "trying to survive" mindset or a "trying to not make a mistake" mindset to actually playing and enjoying the game. I've been there before so I know exactly what I'm saying. Once the mind is negative it causes the the legs to make mistakes even if the ability is already there. Just want to see you get better man. Stay Blessed!

Hey Matt, I actually went to watch you play against Louisville city last weekend. You played well, but I was especially impressed with your number 5, Tristan Hodge. It seemed like he was effortlessly playing through Louisville's press, and also stopping their attacks when needed. He was the man of the match for me in that game.

Matt, seriously, your a great player. However, and with no offense, I feel your a bit too safe when you play. Your not very fluid and offensive, you seem a bit segmented and less risk taking. I think you need to beleive in your self a bit more and when you have the ball go forward and take a bit more risks. Cause genuinely, you got the IQ and skill, I think you just need to go for it a bit more. Just my opinion! Keep making us proud at the top 💥🙏🏻

Seeing some pretty significantly large pockets of space that your midfielders aren’t checking into, definitely makes it difficult to play progressive passes. Of course, it’s difficult for them in the 3-4-3 though without a third midfielder. Just wonder how many more chances you would create as a team with more dynamic movement and midfielders getting on the half turn and driving with the ball at times, they seem a bit passive in possession. Just a thought, you’re the pros not me

I think you need to play short and let the players with better quality make plays. Instead of always looking to cross the ball when you don’t have the ability to cross and put the ball exactly where you want. And you need to work on your dribbling, instead of just looking for a foul every time you make a bad dribble. Just want to see you improve.

My man has some basic principles of being a fullback covered. But bro got 0 vision and 0 ability to take on responsibility for the buildup and chance creation - so many nice pass opportunities missed because “the angle was difficult”. Like cmon bro you need to be better than that.

Idk Matt, I love watching your videos but your game has significantly declined. You play extremely safe and you almost seem scared to make a mistake… you’re playing high up on the wing, make a move or whip in a cross. That’s what you practice in the offfseason. Be dangerous and try to make a difference, anyone can make a 5yd pass like you’re making most of the game. All constructive criticism
