I like this. The income should definitely help pay off the mortgage faster. If it meets the requirements of an Airbnb, you could do Airbnb for a few months to see if you like it and if you don't, you remove it. Forget about visitors, if the rooms you have in the house are not enough for you and them, they can check into a hotel or rent elsewhere

You can do extension on your visitor visa. Not sure if you can manage to get job past the sixth month anymore if you failed within 6 months.

It's a good idea to put a tenant because you get income from it and it gives you peace of mind knowing that you have reliable and stable tenants. I personally don't like different people coming in and out of my property.
