Hi Alan, hope you're well. Yes, Glentress is a bit of a paradise for mountain-bikers. I think it's regarded as one of the best trails in the U.K. although nowadays I don't think I'd make it any further than the cafe lol! Hope you're having a lovely weekend and have had a nice relaxing week off. Keep going with your own filming. I'm sure you'll be brilliant :-) All the best, David

Use to live in Coldstream first time experience the Scottish Borders absolutely amazing place to stay if only you like the peace and quiet, it has its moments like civic week was good tbh and Coldstream gaurds and then the candle walk at end of the week. Had a friend it stayed in Peebles and his brother had a gym very decent guy and was only there for like 5 hours but it's like you visit one border town you seen them all basically or least that's what they say. Good channel Mr friend

Hi Mr. Wheater, iv'e been searching my ancestor's and my great grandparents were from Innerleithen, Peebles-Shire and their surname was Hosie, and migrated to the United States in the late 1800's. Thank you and appreciate you going to this part of Scotland and showing this beautiful Country, and am grateful that I got to see where where my ancestor's actually lived, thanks to you! Well have great day and thanks again!

Aw the ducklings were so cute!! 🥰 And the cakes looked yummy. Peebles is a lovely place. We’ve played in the theatre a view times and it’s great. Thanks for sharing another great video David. And your walking tour sounds great 👍🏻 You are a wonderful guide with so much knowledge!

Thank you for all your kindness, it means such a lot to me. My family live in Peebles & Innerleithen so I’m very fortunate to be there most weeks. I’m ashamed to say I’ve only ever had a coffee at the Eastgate, but my sister goes regularly and Sophie my niece does her dancing there. I’m so glad to be back to doing the tours and welcoming visitors back to the city. It’s slow progress starting from scratch again, but I love doing it and I’m sure things will get busier as the summer comes along. So glad you liked the ducklings. I’m hoping to film our local cygnets tomorrow if the weather allows. Thanks so much for watching and for all your support & friendship. All the best, David

Thanks Sam, really glad it was helpful and I'm sure you'll love visiting. I can really recommend visiting nearby Traquair House which is the oldest inhabited house in Scotland. I've just published a video of a recent video which I hope you'll enjoy too. All the best, David :-)

Thanks Clive, hope you’re well too. My family live in Peebles & Innerleithen so I’m down there most weeks. It’s still thriving despite the pandemic and I love spending time there, especially down by the river. Hope it brought back some good memories of your grandmother. Thanks again for all your support and have a lovely weekend. All the best, David

Hello, David! Thank you for this lovely video on Peebles! I am so looking forward to being back here, even if only for a day on my trip in August, and found a few new places to experience & explore with my bestie! Happy Sunday!

David, that was a great revelation! I've driven through Peebles many times but never knew there were so many attractions. Mind you, I think some are of recent vintage and I commend the town for enhancing the natural beauty of the surroundings with a vibrant and visually attractive environment. Tentatively, my wife and I plan to visit in September and I'll let you know how well it measures up to your videography!

Hi Leon, so glad you enjoyed the video of Peebles. I spend a lot of time there visiting family and it’s grown more and more on me. I left a few places out of the video which I can also recommend, particularly Hay Lodge Park. It’s perfect for a picnic next to the river and a walk along to Neidpath Castle. I often cycle around this beautiful park and may well do a video of it soon as it’s very beautiful. Hope you have a wonderful visit to Peeblesshire. If you’re driving down from Edinburgh I can recommend popping into the excellent Pine Trees Cafe at Eddleston or The Horseshoe Inn. The Great Polish Map of Scotland is also worth a look close by at The Barony Castle Hotel. Thanks so much for watching and have a lovely weekend. All the best, David 🙂

I feel really inspired to visit. I've never even been to Scotland but saw something about Melrose on BBC Countryfile and decided to look at that general area. What have I been missing?! I wonder how the weather compares to here in the North West of England?

Hi Mike, thanks for watching and I’m really glad you’re inspired to visit. The Borders are very beautiful with some lovely towns and I’m sure you’ll really enjoy visiting. The weather is always changeable, but September can sometimes be an excellent time to visit and the Autumn colours can be spectacular. All the best, David 🙂
