A Train ride Kirkby-Liverpool Central 1990

ahh memories, I was a nurse at fazakerley hospital in the 80s, and lived on Rice Lane, so used to get this train all the time, now am a nurse in the usa.

memories of driving them back then, sure miss it today.

Some of the oldest trains on the UK network, but the Merseyrail trains, works like clockwork...most of the time, anyway!

Once you get to Kirkdale you can see the 'three ugly sisters' straight ahead which were bulldozed in about 93'

shame i didnt get to ride these back then and didnt know about the northern lines i would of got to hear the sound the old lines made before network rail fixed them and made them smooth ahhh missed out but now i just go on any train to places i got to ride the old merseyrail trains sometimes i think round the year 2000s

Wouldn’t be surprised around Kirkby way if you saw a jump attached to the live rail which fed to an adhoc power converter keeping someone in free electricity for life … but saying that probably ain’t too many around bright enough to engineer such a setup lol…

can you reupload the other train ride videos please the west kirby to new brightion and hunts cross to southport am sure it was you that uploaded them but cant find them anymore

It’s a shame the quality of the video and so many interesting points of conversation lost but it’s the nature of the beast of some videos but a very interesting post anyway 😊
