I like to think that somewhere in the city a poor soul is facing a bunch of thugs and prays for divine help, then with a loud "thunk" and a "twang" the javelin of lightning comes out of the sky and lands before them. Picking it up the scare off the thugs and become an adventurer. That's my head canon for that.

I love that what could've potentially have been a cute Perc'ahlia moment with them flying above the city to find the javelin, ended up being Percy dangling from the broom fighting off a panic attack and both of them alternating with puking their guts out. PEAK ROMANCE GOALS

Kevdak had these terrible knuckles, They beat up on Grog while he chuckled. But while Kevin laughed, Grog split him in half. These are mine now, Fuckles.

The whole 'fusaka' chain, from 'Spice? Got Spice?' to 'About ten gold?' is one of the best things I have ever seen. There has to be some sort of award for this.

Love all of Grog's nervous "beep beep"s when trying to say Be Pleased. Right there with his previous "Bidet" antics.

Sam’s face as he realizes he’s been hustled is my favorite thing.

I do like Percy, but J'mon Sa Ord shutting him down for his ass kissing was just so satisfying.

It's funny because they keep insight checking EVERYTHING and that one time Sam didn't bother with it, Matt took him for a ride xD

I love how they literally can't make CON saving throws to save their lives in combat, but they can't fail when trying to get high.

This episode makes me laugh harder knowing that Vox Machina chose to be "honest and straightforward" in a city that is otherwise filled with snakes taking advantage of them 🤣

Scanlan is the last person I'd ever expect to be hustled. That was absolutely amazing.

I so dearly love seeing Vax support Vex in her Rogue-ing, giving her opportunities to test out her lock-picking and trap-finding when it's not a dire situation. Such a good brother ;.;

You can see matt hiding his smile during that whole spice business. He was loving that.

While I have no problem with Vax'ildan and Keylith, I do find the slowly budding romance between Percy and Vex'aliah to be adorable to watch.

I’ve never heard Travis be upset until the bottom of Sam’s Stein came up. Dear god that voice gave me the chills. Like Loki vs the hulk. Like Ngannou vs Overeem. Like Vax vs a shadow. Like an unnamed book salesman vs Vex. Travis was ready to rumble.

Scanlan and grog’s goal, get laid in every continent Keyleth’s goal, get in trouble with the authorities in every continent

Scanlan's drug dealings just made it into my top 3 moments of the series so far.

I kind of wish someone on the team would have remembered the warning from "A Name I Earned" mentioning about how the knowledge of the Vestiges would spread now that they knew about them. I think Matt mentioned it in an awesome way, talking about how ideas and dreams are shared by many in unseen ways.

Taliesin sure knows how to act the asshole in the most amusing manner. It's such fun to watch when he has Percy choose to be snarky and such to the others, and boy did Scanlan bear the brunt of that this time... fusaka tea, fusaka Sand Keg Spirits, and the wake-up call.

Well, fusaka seems to be simple nutmeg. It is quite expensive in larger amounts, it is slightly hallucinogenic, and it boosts the taste of meat :)

The top two funniest moments of Critical Role are Sam/Scanlan centred (naturally). 1. Scanlan v. Manor (EP. 31) 2. Scanlan buys spice (this one)

It must have been an emotional rollercoaster for Travis, he lost his magic javelin, but then Taliesin rolled a natural 20 trying to figure out where it would have gone and suddenly there's a spark of hope for getting it back, and then his wife loses it with a natural 1 on what's supposed to be her character's main skill.

You know, it’s a strange “this is a game” moment when you realize that logically the vestiges *should* get easier to get as they’re utilizing more and more vestiges to aid in their quest. But it seems like every fight is just within their grasp. So if they’d have gone for them in a different order they’d surely be dead.

I super super super love how they never asked what the spice was or what it looked like BEFORE they left Whitestone, so now they're just bumbling around being sketchy
