A tribute to Kevin Conroy - The best there ever was 

I don't care what anyone says. In life, and now, in death, Kevin Conroy is and always will always be Batman.

He's not really gone, whenever a comic book gets read that involves Batman/Bruce Wayne, we hear Kevin Conroy. He belongs to the ages. His work with that character (of American mythology) lives forever. But man, I wish I could have met him, and I wish I could have gotten his autograph.

Bale, Patterson, Affleck, they were all Batman. But Conroy... You were THE Batman. The greatest. Rest well Dark Knight. You gave this world a lot more than it gave you, but I hope you were Satisfied still. We didn't deserve your kindness.

Well, Mr. Conroy... what you did was give THE voice to an icon for the ages and the definitive portrayal of the hero of so many people, myself included. Yours is a legacy that lives on and you will be the voice we hear even in the adventures yet to come from Batman. Rest well, sir.

He could have just took the Cameo money and said whatever to this person, but it says a lot about Kevin Conroy as a human being to deliver such a personal and uplifting message to someone he has never met. A real one of a kind Voice Actor but also a tremendous person with an incredible heart. I think that's why his Batman was so appreciated as it wasn't just the deep and intimidating voice but also his character and the heart of batman. That's what really stuck out to me. In my opinion, no one could have done it better. RIP

When I heard the news, I just sat there. I sat there for 30 minutes and thought. An incredible voice actor, actor, and an all around amazing guy.

I remember when I was around four years old and living with my grandparents, whenever Batman the animated series came on T.V. I would run into my room, grab my robe, put it on like a cape, run back to the living room and jump off the couch, pretending I was Batman too. I was Batman for Halloween long ago too, and had a gold and black Batman toy from the cartoon I always kept with me. I would even hold it and say Batman's name when I was nervous or scared. It kind of breaks my heart to think that even so young, I knew Batman would protect me if I called to him. As the years went on and I got older, I watched Justice League and Batman Beyond as well as Return of The Joker...It's unfortunate I only now realize how much a part of my life Kevin Conroy was as Batman. I wish I had met him in person to tell him how much he meant to me and my childhood. I _am_ crying as I type this, by the way. All I can keep thinking is: _It's not fair._ Mr. Conroy didn't deserve to go so soon. He was taken from us. Yes, I know he left behind a long legacy with lots of shows, movies and games for us to remember and hold close, but...I guess I'm not fully at peace with his passing yet. One thing I'll always know though, is that Kevin Conroy will always be a true hero and inspiration to us. Thank you for being Batman. Thank you for being such a big, amazing part of our world and our lives.

I actually shed a few tears when I found out he passed away. I’m not even ashamed to admit that. He voiced one of the most popular characters from my childhood and he continued that Legacy for decades. It’s a hard thing when you realize all the things you used to know and love are gone. one by one everything that I loved as a kid is disappearing. Losing Kevin Conroy, it’s just one more reminder of all the things I’ll never get back…

Batman, echoing why it's not just about the costume, or the fear, or the justice. It's about what put you there. Your family, their family, families before you could even know or talk to them; all Bruce Wayne ever was, or ever will be, is an echo of the humanity inside himself, that he wished to protect. So that no little boy or girl ever felt the same despair he felt that day, when a mugger took someone's life. It was working past that, as a person, as a society, as a planet. So kudos to Mr. Conroy.....he gave voice to a man on a piece of paper, that helped resonate the message throughout generations to come.

His death was very random, didn't even know he was having a hard time with cancer. This made his death hit even harder. He may be dead but his legacy will live on, as many have said, he is one of, if not the best Batman there was

I'm lucky enough to have a personal signed season 1 Batman the Animated Series from Kevin Conroy. He signed it to Kevan (my name) from Kevin, Love Batman. I told him how much I love him, and that I played all of the Batman games as well as watched all of the cartoons and he was so happy, he gave me a hug and a giant smile and it was genuine and I'll remember it forever. It was at a comic con, my first one ever.. My best friend that recently passed about the same time as Kevin Conroy brought me. He was a Batman fanatic as well. I will treasure that memory and that autograph forever two of my favorite people in the world are now gone. Hold on to the ones you love while you still have them

I watched both Batman: The Animated Series and The Batman (2004) when I was a kid where Kevin voiced Batman. He's the literal voice of batman. Every time I think of Batman, his voice is kevin's. He was most memorable in Arkham Knight. Rest in Peace Batman.

To me he is the true batman. the thought about not being able to hear his voice anymore just hearts my heart

I grew up when it first aired on Fox kids. Batman the animated series. I am so happy to live through those memories even the time he reprises role for other series even video games. It hurts me so hard knowing that your childhood voice actor to grow up with is gone and it just hurts my heart too much and it makes me cry when I see tribute videos like this.
