Jane Doe Barnabas did treat Angelique like crap....he basically used her and dumped her...on the rebound from Josette....I actually felt a bit of sympathy towards her at first but not later on when she was murdering left, right and centre..

Yes, and I especially liked the DS episodes where Angelique (and her boss Lucifer) squared off against Laura Murdoch (the human phoenix played by Diana Millay, and her boss was Ra the Egyptian sun-god.) I was pleased to see that the eventual victor was Angelique!

I haven't seen all of the episodes and I never watched it back then, but where did A. make Sarah run out into a storm? that's what took her life right? also Angelique did warn Josette what she would like after being a vampiress living in the dark, I think that portrayal was accurate.

Marilyn Willett if i remember correctly (and please correct me if I am wrong as it's been a while since I saw the episodes) Sarah was missing Barnabas and one night she saw him from her bedroom window (after Angie turned him into a vampire) so she ran outside to go and find him...however she couldn't find him and after a while she ended up in the mausoleum, shivering and cold during a storm and Barnabas found her in there after he had bitten someone but Sarah ran away from him because he had his victims blood dripping/running down his face...Sarah then hid behind a grave so that Barnabas couldn't find her because after she saw him with all that blood she was terrified of him....now Barnabas wouldn't have unintentionally scared Sarah with his victims blood all over his face if Angie hadn't turned him into a vampire in the first place so Sarah would never have run away from her big brother and stayed out in the storm trying to hide from him....she had also not long before been very close to death due to Angie practising witchcraft on her and refusing to lift the near death spell on Sarah unless Barnabas did exactly what she wanted....Sarah was obviously a vulnurable innocent child whom Angie quite readily very nearly killed..this must have made Sarah a bit more vulnurable to the elements when she was out all night in the storm hiding from Barnabas...if it hadn't been for all the harm Angie did Sarah would not have ultimately died...her treatment of Sarah was what really made me hate the character of Angelique...although I do think Lara is an excellent actress as her portrayal of Angelique was very convincing, she did a great job on Dark Shadows

Marilyn Willett Angie wanted Josette dead...she made no secret of that fact....she hated Josette purely because Barnabas loved Josette and not Angie...why do you think she lured Josette to Widow's Hill in the first place?...she was jealous of her and wanted her completely out of the way but she didnt expect Barnabas to love her so much that even after she died he still pined for her and would never accept Angie as a substitute

True but it was Sara's choice to go running outside, I know A. is guilty of everything else however let's face it--the writers wanted to kill her off. Kids probably died left and right in 1795, due to storms etc.

Angelique should have just set her desires on another man. BARNABAS IS MY ONLY reason for watching D.S. however if a man doesn't want you just let him go. Josette did scream to Barnabas ''I know what you are !!- I don't want that !!--'' in the final analysis she did not want to be a vampire like him. Also he was ridiculous to hold onto his cane instead of grabbing her in her hysteria. I also believe Josette never loved him AS MUCH as he loved her. Remember Julia said that to him?

Marilyn Willett Actually the only people who really mention Lara Parker at all are mainly DS fans however seeing as Charlize Theron is a world famous film star who also does international modelling campaigns I'm pretty certain there will be people talking about her in 50 years and so on....I see you edited out your criticism of Charlize Theron lol

Marilyn Willett Charlize is an oscar winning actress who has starred in many big movies and she is a world famous model so I'm absolutely certain she will still have fans in 50 years time...As for Lara never flubbing a line well yes that maybe true but the lovely Nancy Barrett was the best actress on DS for never forgetting her lines, I don't think I ever saw her forget her lines once....I agree with your comment on Johnny Depp though.
