Clearly, a glorious voice, but what’s with the constantly wrinkled forehead? Constantly searching for “placement?” Always a mistake.

Suerly they could have found a better singer to honour Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Goerke's voice is shrill and has no musicality whatsoever - at least not in this aria. The problem is, all those who could sing this properly are probably all dead. The quality of modern opera singing leaves a helluva lot to be desired. But then, she's American - and Americans seem to be easily fobbed off with shoddy and vulgar - they did after all vote for Trump in large numbers.

No need for the pianist to wear a mask. Not much good can be said about the singing either I’m afraid...
