May Allah raise Sheikh Abu Asim El Badawy رحمه الله from his grave sinless and pleased. May Allah illuminate his grave and make it a garden from amongst the gardens of paradise. May his crossing of the Siraat be comfortable and swift. May he be granted water from the Kauser. May the Prophet Alayhi Salatu wasalam take his hand on the day of rising and take him into jannah tul firdow. May Allah make his hashr with the Prophet alayhi salatu wassalam and his companions. May Allah allow him to dwell in the highest place in paradise for eternity and allow us to be reunited with them again. May Allah grant Sabr to his family, friends, loved ones, students, followers, listeners and his fans. Passed away 22/08/21 ❤️😭😭😭

Sheikh Abu Asim El Badawy رحمه الله were a giant scholar of Qira’aat and had committed to memory the books of Qira’aat in such a manner that I vividly remember we used to open books like Shattibiyya, Dhurra, Tayba Tul Nashr etc and read a random line from a random page and our Sheikh would be able to continue from memory and explain the couplets in detail. Many times just moments before the learned Sheikh would recite on Jummah at Darul Qurra, we used to request them to recite the Ayaat which we were memorising at that time. A lot of times these Ayaat were not ones that you would hear being recited in a Mujjawad recitation by Qurra. But Sheikh Abu Asim would comfortably recite them ayaat on the spot in his prestigious manner with different variations in Qira’aat and different Maqamaat. This is something majority of the Qurra would struggle with. May Allah grant them the highest place in Paradise ❤️ they are truly missed by all😭😭

Inna lillaahe wa inna ilayhi rajioon I heard his voice for the first time in Harrow mosque when he lead the taraweeh prayers back in 2014 and 2015. He had such a deep and meaningful voice mashalllah. May Allah (ﷻ) give him jannatul firdous

End of an era.. A huge loss for the Ummah! May Allah have mercy upon a masterful scholar of Qira'aat, Sheikh Abu Asim رحمة الله تعالى عليه ♥️ Knowledge disappears with the death of true scholars 😭
