The voice of Darth Vader, Conan's arch-enemy Thulsa Doom, Simba's father Mufasa - the legendary James Earl Jones has passed away, aged 93.
Kilt-Man knows that the great actor will be best known for these roles, but he also knows that James Earl Jones is much, much more!
In a tribute to one of the greatest, most versatile and hugely inspirational presences on stage, small and big screen, Kilty pays his respects to a man whose legacy will never be forgotten.

Rest In Peace to the incredible voice behind *the* villain of all villains, but also the actor of so many great parts! We always say when someone passes that we’ll miss them, and we mean it of course, but _man am I going to miss this guy…_ a long life well lived!

Age 93 some age that fella but what an amazing man and screen talents. Earl Jones was so good in Conan the Barbarian, The Voice of Vader, The Lion King, Coming to America. Thanks for the cracking tribute pal and thanks James Earl Jones for making me believe as a little boy Vader exists. Some cracking stuff there pal lovely set up dude love it mate 😉

Led a long and fantastic life, overcoming his own hurdles and becoming a legend. There's a champion and a legend to inspire us all, Gina. A sad loss, for sure. But one lived to the full. 🥃🥃🥃💪💪💪💪🥃

Interesting to know that in fact James Earl Jones was Introduction narrator for Sly stallones Judge Dredd (which I actually enjoy)💪 The man was a fantastic actor may he R.I.P 🙏

You can only trust the strength and abilities you gain through hardship and struggle ... like steel under a hammer, thrust through fire and immersed in ice cold water. I can't imagine Conan explaining it that, though. But CROM knows 💪💪💪💪

Actually it's Michael Carter, who also played Bib Fortuna in Return of the Jedi and, best of all, Gerald Bringsley, the London Underground victim in American Werewolf. 🐺🐺🥃💪

It's Carter, through and through. I think the voice of James Earl Jones would have been coo, but far too obvious and distracting as another bass-booming baddie after Vader & Thulsa.
