A Trio of Bigfoot Sightings; the Cornfield Creature, the Dog-Snatcher, and the 'Cartoon Monkey.'

I received a report from a man who had a bigfoot sighting in the year 2000. After this sighting, his grandparent's sighting from 1977 seemed a bit more credible, and those sightings made his girlfriend's sighting in 2017 seem like no surprise.
In this video, read all three reports, and then give my take on the matter of sightings vs reported sightings. Because I find it fascinating that in this particular instance, of four witnesses, only one felt the need to dig a little deeper.
And thank you all so much for your support and viewership!

What I like about Joe's encounter is that he doesn't remember the day, month or year it happened. For me this makes it more credible. I get a little skeptical when a person says " I was 15 and it was June 21st 1983 at about 330pm". I can't remember what I ate for dinner last week

That’s not always the case. Probably when you’re younger and don’t view life the same. But as you get older and pivotal events take place..,you can remember them to the minute. Like my wife dying or my son being born. Both happened after I was 35. Maybe that will fad when I’m in my 70’s. Check back then..I’ll let ya know.

@@rethinkinc.5385 Sorry about your wife. My daughter was born after I was 35 and I remember it being a Monday. Other than that I just remember freaking out because they took her straight to the NICU. I remember him doubting the truth in the story about the children being chased by some monster wolf but it never catching up to the kids, but he neglected to entertain the notion that the beast didn't want to catch the kids. Dogmen are known to chase people either because the creature just wanting to have some fun or because they want them gone from their territory. I have heard several encounters where Dogmen seem to get satisfaction out of scaring the ever loving crap out of people. I also find it hilarious when people believe that The Forest People ("Bigfoot") are real but can't seem to wrap their brains around the very real reality that big hairy wildmen aren't the only Cryptids out there.

Can't help but wonder if the BF was already hunting the dog when it got hit. Then, he was like, "MINE!" Or, maybe, the dog was chasing it? Not likely. Either way, the dog was apparently so distracted that it didn't see/hear cars coming down the road at night.? Thanks, Bob! @jasonberryman1035

A possible situation was the dog chased the bigfoot which after gaining sufficient distance from the presumed owner turned and attacked or was preparing to attack once the dog crossed the road. What lends some credence to this theory is that big cats are said to have done the same before and the dog was described as a large hunting breed.

His illustrator is super talented for sure, and Bob is one of the only people out there who can discuss cryptozoology using science and logic and also without sounding like a total fruitcake. I don't really believe in very many cryptids, including bigfoot, but sometimes Bob gets me on the fence..

@@juxie9229 take a listen to Facts by How to Hunt. Steve is a lifelong hunting guide who had had his own experiences. He reads stories that are sent into him by average people, he does not edit or judge. As for your belief of cryptids, thats completely up to you, and some are far fetched. The only one I can personally say without any doubt is Sasquatch/Bigfoot. I have had my own experience, and even if I had not, it is pretty hard to discount the thousands of encounters, even if a few are misidentification. There have been people from all walks of life who have seen them including doctors, police, and military personnel to name a few. Along with the Patterson Gimlin film which even with all the technology today cannot be debunked or replicated. Also in several government publications both in the US and Canada, Sasquatch is listed as a North American mammal. My biggest issue is that people need to be made aware that these beings exist, especially if you are visiting forests and parks, with your family and/or children. The evidence is there if you look for it, some people cant handle their world view being flipped on its head. Stay safe and just keep an open mind.

So, my weird little Oregon sighting story: My mother and I were going on the shortcut through Oregon, a back road which took us through the open country by Antelope, Oregon. I was in my teens, hot, bored, and looking forward to our next stop which wouldn't be until The Dalles, where there'd be cold drinks and a chance to stretch. We made the turn semi-northward, and suddenly I sat up straight at the sight of what I assumed was a gorilla playing in a sprinkler. It was black, covered in hair, and sitting cross-legged on the lawn, slapping hands into the spray of the sprinkler with obvious pleasure. The head was tilted downward, and the head, while heavier than a human head, didn't have a big occipital crest. It was about the size of an adult woman, but broader shoulders and the arms seemed longer. I assumed immature gorilla... but this thing was not confined; it was just out in the open. Who would leave their gorilla outside, unattended, 40 or 50 feet from a road?

When Bob was talking about the guy's girlfriend, who saw a chimpanzee like creature, it reminded me of a time back in the early 2000s I saw a chimpanzee in my neighborhood in Southeastern Virginia. It really was a chimpanzee though, not a chimpanzee like creature. I was driving through the neighborhood at night, and saw a woman walking holding hands with what I thought was a child. But as I got closer and my headlights illuminated it, I realized that the child was severely deformed. Then I had to do a double take. I circled around the block so that I could pass them again, and it wasn't a deformed child, but a woman taking a chimp wearing a diaper for a walk, and holding hands. I never saw them again, I never figured out why a woman was walking a chimpanzee in my neighborhood, and the questions, with no way to get answers, have kind of haunted my mind ever since.

OMG! I just found your channel a couple weeks ago as I just recently opened my mind to exploring this topic, and I don’t mean that in “that kind of way”… What I mean by that is that personally I have never had an encounter nor have I met anyone who told me that they had one either. I’ve never had a occasion to think about it as a reality and it would never occur to me to debate it’s existence. Steve from HowToHunt called it perfectly in one of his videos. While he was reading an emailed encounter, he started talking candidly about the so-called “skeptics” and audibly got very angry. That moment brought me to thoroughly appreciate your well written commentary in defense of these people and the validity of their encounters. I feel like I can understand now how it must feel when someone is mentally recalling an incredibly powerful, life changing moment that electrocuted their whole reality and some random asshole says, “Nope, it doesn’t exist.” Those are the same people who are angrily shouting “there’s nothing to see here” no matter what anyone else saw, said or did in the 2020 election. Your videos have the most uniquely enjoyable, originality and creativity plus your commentary really makes me think about some crazy shit seriously. I hope it will do the same to those with close-minded brains that are about to or already have collapsed, because the world would be a better, smarter and safer place.

I found out just a couple of years ago, my younger brother (who originally scoffed at my sighting) admitted that years later, he and his boss were driving out to a new hunting location my brother had found, and they had one cruise by overhead, following the same road and going just a bit faster than he was driving. Also it was physically located only a few miles from where we grew up. LOL, he doesn't scoff at me anymore.

You know, after watching tons of videos from Mr. Ballen, of true stories about people who went missing in forrests, mountains and so on, one thing is certain. Once someone is reported missing houndreds of people are sent to find them. Police, bloodhounds, civilians, and they all look for people who Want to be found and rescued, but many of them are never found. But if someone, or something is actually hiding in miles and miles of wilderness, it's no wonder so few people see it.

So Joe’s stories sounded believable enough, BUT, I do know for a fact that, once a corn stalk turns golden, even a small child can rip it out of the ground root and all. This is an odd detail for Joe to have harped on, but he seemed to use it as a way to demonstrate the beasts potential strength. That said, either the corn stalks hadn’t turned golden, or Joe didn’t have the experience with corn that he claims. Either way, including even this small exaggeration or untruth in a claim makes reasonable people like me doubt the entire thing. I believe his grandmother saw something, but if you notice she never even stated that the creature was bipedal. Joe allowed us to assume that, so she could’ve easily been talking about a bear or mountain lion, and having not known what she saw she never assumed what it was. Let this be a lesson to those reporting sightings. Let no detail go unstated, and embellish nothing, add nothing, and simply state the truth of what you saw. Joes little white lie leads me to believe he knows his grandmother may have seen something different but included her story anyways. That leads me to be skeptical of Joes motives altogether and takes what could be a very credible sighting and turns it to some anecdotes that have no real meaning to me aside from entertainment

The salt and hypersensetivity of the believers are so strong that it makes me irrationally more skeptical. Even Bob says in his videos "if we were experts, you'd think we'd have found some more definitive evidence" or something to that effect. I used to write bigfoot off as obvious bs. After more careful thought (and a trip to the pacific northwest) I think now that bigfoot is plausible but extremely improbable. I'm not here to ridicule but there is a cult like vibe to the online bigfoot community. The alien and ufo people have a broad range of personalities, but overwhelmingly present with bigfoot people is a resentment for outsiders. It's almost like people are kind of bullied into it and then reliving that by expressing hostility to people who haven't yet fallen in line.

Connects back to what you said at the end about what the word "human" means. I can also relate with his point about how it took a minute for him to understand that he'd seen something unusual, and by the time he did it was to late for him to point it out, as that's kinda how my UFO siting went. I remember seeing long black hair .... threw the side door nobody used gave me a perfect view of the porch ...I remembered thinking how it looked like it had a hoody on ... but honestly I never for sec thought it was big foot ... I remember finding tracks that summer back at the creek an thinking .. we don't have big foots here...they are all up north west... anyways .. it was an interesting sighting ...im glad I herd this incounter... I was really doubtful for a second about Joe’s first account-I live in that area, right off US 30, and I was absolutely floored to hear about it in your video-because nowadays, US 30 is a big four-lane road, and 60 MPH so long as you aren’t going through a town or something. But I know, because I live right off of it, that in at least some areas, US 30 used to be a two-lane road, mostly regular and unremarkable, and making its way through much more remote parts of rural Indiana. We have a road that used to be US 30 only a couple miles from our homestead. Furthermore, while I really never hear about any sort of cryptid encounters in Indiana (though I don’t consider myself an expert), this specific part of Indiana-we call it Michiana, or The Region-would be the most likely place to find a Bigfoot, or evidence of a Bigfoot, in our state. There are lots of state and county parks up here-I think the most in the state-and there’s lots of hunting grounds too. For humans, I mean, but there are regulated hunting seasons, so why shouldn’t an intelligent creature be able to make use of those grounds in the off-season? I think it would be difficult to find fossil evidence of any Bigfoot-creatures here, because this land used to be a lot of marsh and wetland, but I’m sure there are lots of theories on Bigfoot fossils; I’m not as familiar with those theories as I am with Michiana ecology. Finally, we don’t have any large animals that Joe could’ve mistaken for a Bigfoot. The largest animals we have are deer, but we also have coyotes, foxes, raccoons, and opossums, none big enough to be mistaken for a Bigfoot. I have never seen any scarecrows in Indiana cornfields; farming is an industry here, not a hobby, and pest control is more hardcore than that, I think. It doesn’t sound like the right time of day for a field-worker, which we do have here, though not everywhere, but that would be my best guess as a skeptic. I don’t think it was one, because workers tend to go out very early in the morning to beat the heat-and I have seen some in the evening-but my argument for that would be that since Joe doesn’t know when he saw it, it could’ve been when the corn was shorter, so the individual could’ve looked taller than it was. What lends the most credibility to me though, as someone from around the area, are Joe and his grandma’s hillbilly accents 😭 Those folks sound like they’d know what they’re talkin’ about
