A Truckload of Stuff for the New House 

One idea for an attraction that can be cheap to install and still be fun for many people would be a disc golf course. Food for thought!

Something relatively cheap and easy that would be fast to open to the public. You should make some side by side, dirt bike, four wheeler trails. You have the perfect terrain for it. Maybe get rid of a few trees. Make a little camp site so people can spend the weekend. It would be perfect

Small nightlights for the bathrooms and a few other key areas is ALWAYS good at Airbnb's. People are staying in a new house as opposed to a tiny hotel room. Lighting at night when nature calls is very helpful. Also, fill those soap dispensers with the least scented goop you can find and don't be bummed that they don't get used that much. They are good for the first day or two when people are settling in, but most people like their own goops and bring them with them/buy them when they travel.

Take some command strips and mount the charging station on the wall so it can free up space on the nightstand in the bunk room.

They put the Keurig box into another box because guys just like Matt deliver them. It keeps them from being totally destroyed before they arrive at your home. It is a good thing, trust me.

My wife and I have what’s called a split king bed. It’s two twin XL mattress and boxsprings together. We have separate sheets and all that and they move up and down separately. Best decision ever

A friend of mine here in Maine rents out part of his 130 acres to a fall festival each year. He makes $30,000 for a 3 day festival and doesn't have to do hardly anything. The festival people put most it up themselves. :D

Make sure the kitchen knives like the chef's knife, paring knife, etc are actually sharp enough to cut through more than just butter. Just being in the drawer is useless if they can't cut anything. The diamond file on my Leatherman has saved me more times than I can count when renting Airbnb's.

you should do a big rib fest... they are HUGE here in Canada. Bunch of rib cooks, some cool vendors, music stage... I helped organize a few here, they do really well.

I was in Talkeetna, Alaska a couple of years ago. You should definitely take a plane, I suggest Talkeetna Air Taxi, and fly around Denali and land on Ruth’s Glacier. Dude Perfect did it in 2021 on Bucket List. There is also a really cool house called the Dr Suess House, you should get drone shots of it. It’s a beautiful place. You will be able to see Denali from Talkeetna. But I suggest flying around it. Have fun in Alaska.

I was just in talkeetna last summer. By far one of the top 5 places in the world I’ve ever been and I’ve traveled ALOT. Hopefully you’ll be staying at the lodge, make sure you see the giant grizzly in the lobby by the fireplace, and go out on the view deck at “sunset” to really get a look at mt Denali. Have a wonderful time Matt. Oh, and check out 49th state brewery blueberry soda, it’ll change your life. Be safe and travel well brother.

Matt, we bought the same power strips from Amazon that you did, but we ended up exchanging them for ones that look identical, but have both USB and USB-C ports along with the regular receptacles. Apple products all come with USB-C cords now.

I just went through Talkeetna two days a go. Cool little town. I was up there on vacation.

Digging in the cave sounds really fun, but also really horrible if it's so hot in there, wait till the winter when it's cooler. Do what you want (or need to) do now to get the place profitable. (So stop giving the poor man crap about it!!! Lol)

Dude I've actually been to talkeetna it truly is in the middle of nowhere. And the mayor is an orange tabby cat or was when I was there. Enjoy the river hopefully it's not frozen 😄

I can tell you right now when you're setting up that Airbnb I saw the coffee maker. The Keurig Duo pot is super delicate. I've gone through 3 in a few years. Also, what are you doing for internet or Wi-Fi on the property? I suggest doing a whole Ubiquity system. It's super convenient and easy to do.

I suggest creating a type of "seal" that says "do not use if seal is broken" on soap dispensers etc.. kinda like what they use on gas pumps. For liability reasons that or just provide sealed mini soap bars and containers.

A B&B needs to be better than the guests' house so when they walk in that is their first thought and when it is time to leave they wish they could stay another day.

Someone may have said this already, but a split king is an actual thing. It's two twin XLs put together. You would typically have an actual king size headboard and a king sized comforter. Split king sheet sets come with two twin XL fitted sheets, one king flat sheet, and two king pillowcases. Yours may have been regular twins but I couldn't tell

That soap dispenser needs to go away, those are nasty in a rental place.
