Been playing this character since Tekken 3 and decided to get a bit more serious about it in Tekken 8. You gave me a couple of ideas to catch people who tech roll wrong, or try a wake up attack. Thanks a lot! Been really fun getting people with those.
Yeah this video is definitely a sign, I’ve been meaning to give Xiaoyu a shot as a new player with a love for mixups, this just looks like too much fun lol
Gotta say, was on the fence on picking up xiaoyu as my first Tekken main, but your vid sealed the deal. I only hope i can be almost as good as this one day.
Your ling is exceptional! I wish i could be this tricky with her When im trying to to dance on my opponent i often hang myself :/ can you do maybe a strategy guide on what to do with her in neutral and how make the opponent second guess themselves so that they don’t interrupt you in the transitions
try mixing up AoP itself. Sounds like you are going into stances with the same timing, and are getting knocked out of AoP or something. Try to mix AoP. Do your normal strings to setup AoP, but when you see them hitting you out of AoP, say, with a low, do the same setup again, but use u/f 3+4 or orbital instead. With u/f 3+4, it should still be -3 on block and safe if you get it wrong. You can even use that to your advantage and SS or going face forward to cause a whiff and whiff punish your opponent. You can also use her orbital similarly too when someone is going after your AoP stance.
Xiaoyu movement feels so much more free in tekken 8. Not as good as tekken 5 but still amazing. Im only at Tenryu with her right now tho. Aiming fkr Mighty Ruler today with her then catching back up with Feng.
I'm so happy that I became a main Xiaoyu and she's so good in Tekken 8, since my kuni isn't in Tekken 8 she'll be the one I play the most. (Angry bc kuni isnt in t8😾😾)
Here we go - some random that doesn’t really know anything appearing on a player’s channel to talk some inaccurate sh*t. Electrified Mann has ALWAYS played proficient Tekken since years ago when T7 first came out. This is because he was ALREADY a DOA competitor and knew that to excel as a Tekken player, he would have to first learn the game’s mechanics to succeed, and fast tracked himself by properly doing what almost all new Tekken players refuse to do out of laziness and immaturity - train up, research and learn the game mechanics and frame data. I never have seen anybody get so good so quickiy. Electrified Mann had several beefs in the middle of T7’s lifespan, which he confronted and dealt with easily. So, he is known for handling his sh*t instead of ducking out. You really don’t know the person you are talking about.
Ling and Nina the op female character since the dawn of tekken. I remember during T3 me and my frnd mastering Doc B and Lei to defeat then best ling players in money matches.
