Well, you have addressed all the questions about your fur babies. You do what feels right with Bubbles BUT I would definitely put money aside to spay those girls. Yes it is expensive but that is what comes with keeping them. You mentioned the Humane Society - they may be able to try to get you a discount for having 3 instead of one. Can't hurt to try. Plus it is ok to hand water your garden for one year so you can afford to fix you babies. I would put them first but hey, that is just me. Good luck and stay well.

I agree with some of the other comments here. Bubbles is FAR too nervous and skittish to be let out. I 100% agree with your decision to keep her in the catio! I have a bad feeling that if you let her out of there, you're not going to get her back inside because she'd be too scared to let you anywhere near her!

I see Fozzy scratching against the raw wood on a door, si I thought I would mention how my 2 cats were able to scratch themselves when I attached several wooden brushes with thick bristles against the corner of a wall.6 inches up from the floor on 2 sides. Once my cats found the scrubbing brushes , they spent so much time rubbing up against them. I would clean out the brushes every other day and it kept their coats clean & shinny !!!!!

Have you thought of building a solar back up . Just a few acres has one .there are prepping channels showing to . Pin ball preparedness .built one and there whole area lost power but him due to he built a system with solar generators . Well good luck . Bubbles is fine what you have done . Total understand . Could you bond with her by spending more time with just her? That way she knows you are her person? You are doing a good job.

Love the content! Watch a video or two a day since it makes me relax before sleeping! I have two cats who are indoor/outdoor! They are inside most of the time but I let them out for a few minutes for them to eat some grass! I don’t let them out since there’s dogs who are aggressive in my neighborhood! So I honestly think whatever choice you make is right since you know what is best for them! Bubbles has enough space to roam around and she might want to go outside but it’s best to give her more time and also get her used to a collar and mango! Spaying cats isn’t cheap so it’s fine that they aren’t since the boys are neutered! Hope to see more great videos :) keep up the amazing work around the farm :)

Why do the hens pluck big red's feathers?

FREE MULCH .....for chicken pens.......my neighbor would get dry leaves from the forest floor and fill the pens. The chickens loved scratching around in them, eating bugs and seeds. Then after awhile he would take the soiled leaves and add them to his compost pile. I thought of him when I saw your dirt floors in the chicken pens. cheers, from southern Ontario, and have a great day.

Hi Chad. Do you think maybe Red the Roosters spurs ate too long? It appears that they interfere with his walking. Just am observation..

When you do get to the point of needing to take Bubble's in, I used a crate for a rescued street cat that was very skittish and not allowing touches yet. The crate means you can just carrel her in ideally and not have to touch or force into a carrier. I think they forget the day once home due to the anaesthetic. He was fine that night. Or you can ask for some calming meds to give her prior. I found they do seem to remember sedation though, as had one sedated to lance a painful abscess and she has never trusted people after that and was fine before.

I can see you really care for your animals but that rooster has something going on neurological that isn't right. He needs to see a vet

I thought spaying a female cat was like $200? I haven't had a female in a long time (decades) so I may be wrong, but other cats may come to your property. But hey, then you'll have kittens 😊

If you roll up the tarp from the bottom still attached to the catio, you can easily let it back down for storms or winter.

People are flat ignorant about neutering and spaying their cats and dogs. They make every excuse under the sun for not protecting their animals. They never talk about their pets dying until it is too late. Pets end up with cancer from having too many heats cycles and being prone to kidney issues from neglect. Sad. But, some people shouldn’t have pets. Why don’t you start a Go Fund for them?

Don't be irritated by the comments about the cats. Some (like the long leach) are absolutely ridiculous. You have a very good intuition for the cats and if you follow that, that's the best you can do.

Queen Remy is back and she is the one with the green THUMB, Chad has a brown THUMB from the compost. Keep BUBBLES inside, you don't want to have another emotional episode if she dies. The strawberry things that grow along the ground are runners not mothers. Big Red might have arthritis on his legs, stumbling might be pain, time to consider getting a younger rooster. Nice job with the pond.

There is nothing wrong with not allowing cats go outside. I have 3 and after loosing a previous 3 to horrendous outside deaths, I swore I would never have an outside cat again. I do have a catio too but 1 of mine, the house puma, has NO desire to even go outside on the catio sometimes. 1 went out the front door 1 day and you could see her say to herself, "oh crap!", and ran right back in.

I think you should keep Bubbles the way you have her. If she's too "wild" and you don't trust her to come home when it's time to lock up at night, then for her safety don't let her out at all. Like you said, she can go indoor or outdoor the catio and she's perfectly happy that way. I think it would be stressful for the cat and for you to be worrying about her.

Seems like the Rhode Island girls aren’t too impressed with Big Red’s skills as a lover! Perhaps the girls can sense that he has some breeding deficiencies ( the tippy toppy walking style) and they instinctively want little to do with him. Just a thought. Nature can be brutal.

I had a cat in my store and every night when I closed up Rex would come in on schedule. Maybe yours will too if a routine is established.

For your drip irrigation issue of not knowing how much of what you need, Rainbird has a Drip Product Selection Guide where you can input the type of plants, soil, grade, and any elevation change and it will tell you what parts you need and how many.

Definitely contact your local Humane Society. They have a program as far as I know that’s called the spay neuter clinic. I don’t know exactly how much it will be in your area but in my area in Trenton, it cost 250 for a female spay! I hope that helps! Also with bubbles just start treat training when you have the time call her name shake some treats and when she comes close to you as often as you possibly can when you have the time, I know how busy you are that worked for all the stray cats I rescued . During the day they’re safe it’s night time is where you really want to predators When it comes to the chickens and big red, if they sense a week bird in the flock, they will continually bully or pack that specific bird it’s a natural protective instinct towards the flock taking out any unhealthy injured or weak members, When you mention that is a little older and not the sturdiest rooster, I’m wondering if they sent that and that’s why they targeted him just a thought . Love and I see how much you love your animals keep up the wonderful work hope and pray for better weather for you❤

About the AirTags. You live in a rural area. AirTags are not like GPS and if a cat wanders further (especially unspayed) someplace there is no one with an iPhone then you will lose their trace. Just an FYI. Your crew seems to stick around. GPS tracker is an investment, it costs $200 a year and I get it's not doable with multiple cats. It's worth it for mine who escaped 4 times in a year, including a 4-day stint. Or you'll have to let Bubbles out and trust that she will come back. Spaying her would be a start.

Does little Bubbles get along with Molly and Olive? Dogs seem to get along so well with the cats that are outside. Train dogs to bond even closer to little Bubbles. That way if she ever gets out they can stick close and keep an eye on her. Just a thought ❤

Put adjustable rain bird sprinklers up on the corners of your fence. They do make batterie powered timers.

Add old logs on the bottom of your beds, they will act like sponges, retain excess water and release it when plants need it. It's called Hugelkultur. Mulching will also reduce evaporation. Won't it be nice to only water if it doesn't rain in 3 weeks? :)
