I like winter and snow. My hometown is in Northern China. When I was in middle school, I had to go to school by walking 3 kilometers in the snow day. My son applied Rochester ED1, hope he can be admitted.
I don't know if you've talked about this before but what is it like affording a car at Rochester? Are there a lot of job opportunities and if so would it be feasible to have an off-campus job but not have a car?
I’m starting this fall at U of R, got in early decision- are the desks in the stacks supposed to be a quiet space? Never saw them when I went on a tour there.
My sister applied to U Of R would you recommend it she got into 7/11 colleges she applied to she got waitlisted at Tufts, and Northeastern and rejected by BU, and Brown but she’s choosing between U Of R, UCLA, UC Irvine, San Jose State, Cal Poly, Lehigh, and UCSB
Hey, congrats to your sister on her acceptances! Those are all really great schools and she would do really well at all of them, it really depends on what program she's interested in, the type of campus she wants to live in, how big she wants the school to be, etc. Feel free to watch my "College Advice" playlist if you want help on college decisions, and good luck to your sister!
Quick question! At UR do you guys use ID cards to access the dorms and such? Also being that this is a private school, how do you physically get on campus? Can you just walk in or do you need an ID? Thanks!
We use IDs to get into our dorms, however, the rooms themselves in the dorms don't require ID. There are a couple entrances into the campus, but they don't require an ID.
