I was watching another crafter make some stunning pieces. And she set her molds over a mirror and let the lamp reflect back to cure the bottom. I haven't tried it myself but it is on my to try list!!
I love JDiction as I cast horsehair & pet fur in pendants, so I want it crystal clear. This stuff cures like glass. Love the earrings, I wish there was a market here for them.
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts yeh I wouldn't be without mine. My biggest will cover a 2ft square area easily, a godsend if I'm making loads lol. It's an industrial one from the world of 3d printing
They are excellent, I have one of them myself that I sometimes use. They can be a little too powerful sometimes and you need to ensure you are keeping the light away from your eyes
I am so excited just ordered mine and got a 30% coupon!! Yay! I can not wait to not have to balance my light to say nothing of the fact that I think it is on it's last legs.
Thank you I just bought the lamp, I was in doubt about it. I also bought a 36W USB plug to go with it, since most USB plugs are not the right wattage and you wont get the full wattage for curing. I have watched several of your vids, you now how a new subscriber! ♥♥
You are so amazingly talented! Thank you for sharing, I so enjoy watching your videos. I just bought my first uv resin about a month ago and loved your tip about cleaning your mat with tape. Before that did I ever grumble when I finished with the resin, the packing tape was "a game changer"! Then I wondered if my dollar store lint roller would work. It works like a charm and so much faster and much to my delight, easier.😄Thank you again, you bring such joy to my day!
I've got that monster light - LOVE IT! I also have all of JDiction's UV Resin types, and love them all. LOVE those bubbly earrings, plain or with the alcohol ink! 💕😊
Do you normally well lung protection when using resin products? I really hope you do. Please don't worry about us hearing your at the expense of hurting yourself. So many people are getting sick, lung cancer, lung disease & rash from all types of resins. Please take care of yourself. Even the no fumes/ low fumes need to be used with protection, ventilation, and open windows or outside. Take Care & blessings
Never ever without it, I use a full head respirator that has it's own electric air filter attached. I agree with you. I have made many videos on the importance of using PPE and using a mask at all times. I also have extractor fans in my studio. I hate to see other people who make videos using resin that never ever use any PPE or say that it isn't important. It is so important
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts I just bought a respirator with my lamp , I really dislike the awkwardness of them but I figured it is worth it, I can deal with it for a hourish on my face.
I love watching your videos!!! I’ve seen some other videos using UV resin and they place the mold on a mirror in order for the bottom to cure without flipping. Have you ever tried that???
It does work, but ii am not sure of the prolonged exposure on your eyes? I have done it before, but this lamp is more powerful than the ones I have used before
I’ve so many UV lamps here I could probably tan with them. Is this one better than istoyo? I so wish JDiction would release a 3 pack with each resin. Nice earrings.
Steve I just found your site and love you, Ive never used resin but want to give it a go, I have one ? Re: high velocity and low velocity. When do you use each of them?
i sincerely hope this lamp is better than the Resin mixer you recommend from jdiction. I use their UV resin and it is great. I loved the resin mixer when i first got it, but it lasted less than 3 months, which i thought was way too short considering the price. i love your videos and i learn so much from you!
Just curious..is it an England thing the way Steve says "really"? For instance.. That is reeeallly good. It will come out reeeeally easy I reeeeeallly want to try it I reeeeally appreciate the coffee. I must know!
I agree. It's one of those over-used phrases that drive me up a wall and once some media person uses it, then everyone is using it. Same for the words, "hack" and "clapping back"........there's many of them; so unoriginal. Language is suffering and lazy.
What is JDiction? I’m new to your channel, so don’t know your insider buzzwords (?) But I do have a UV Light the one you used today, just a different brand. I got it because I couldn’t stand my nail polish taking so long to dry & it’s been great to be able to do both of my hands at the same time.😋
I feel the same way when people say Farmhouse Style” 10X in their “up-cycling" videos! Not everybody wants to stencil Pigs or Cows all over everything! I just watched because I wanted to learn how to do transferring! Okay, I’m sorry, guess everyone knows where my hot button is now! 😏 And to think I just read your rules on being polite & kind & all that jazz, even agreed to all of it. Guess it was bothering me more than I realized… sorry about that guys.🙁
I'm getting a little frustrated. I'm new to this and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong when I add colors after tries. It's really bendy I guess you could say and I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I would appreciate any help you could possibly give me. Thank you😢
What type of resin are you using? It might be that you are adding too much pigment, not mixing your resin enough, or curing it enough if it’s a uv resin you are using? There are so many different things that could contribute to this. Don’t worry all of them are normally simple fixes.
I use Jdiction because of watching you. And I thought about getting that light, but it doesn't tell you what the wattage is. So I'm a little hesitant. I'd like to know if it's more or less than 35w.
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts thank you so much for answering. That's pretty close to the recommended 35-watt I read about. Okay Jdiction take my money.
