Thankyou so much for the video but I have studied it in the class and i believe that 3rd and 4th lines of ist stanza mean rather this: Some friends of the dying person who are around his bed say" he's passed away" and some say " No! He's still breathing." So the transition from living to being dead is so gentle for these noble people that it can hardly be noticed.
It was really good poem...at first I couldn't understand but this explanation can't make it any better...I'm really grateful to you sir for releasing this video..THANK YOU!!
Koi baat nahi sir .. Aapne video upload kari, wahi bahot hai hum sare students ke liye .. Syllabus ki video ho yaa na ho, seekha huaa kabhi na kabhi zrur kaam main aata hai ..

The breath goes now, and some say, no == means even his near dear friends can't be sure of the moment of death that means when he exhaled last time is unknown even to his friends.... This explanation I found in Shakti Batra's book "The Metaphysical Poets" 😊
