Ron Olson's 3 generation history of selling and servicing Olivers and newer in the Wamumandee valley. The demand for mfwd Olivers and Whites to farm the dairy terrain of the area. We talked short lines that I haven't thought of in years. This was a fun video to do. And we have to have a tractor, his White field boss 37.

What an excellent video documentary. What a wonderfully humble man. This man is what made America great. . .and sadly will never be again.

My take home is what I always believe, local dealer-local quality, and trust. Excellent interview. Thanks Ryan.

Yet again another great history video. I love the old farm history. Its crazy to thing how much farming has changed in a very short amount of time in the grand scheme of things. None of us in our family actually farm anymore but my dad has my grandpa's 1968 3020 still in its original work clothes ths and my uncle has grandpa's 630 and keeping these tractors in the family is a huge thing to us, that and still keeping gramps's land in the family. The original home place has been in the family for over a century now.

Our Agco dealer was originally AC. We didn't have very many Oliver tractors around my area, but there are a few. I bought my first Oliver out from under a scrapper. A 1937 Oliver Hart Parr row crop 70. My second, a Super 77 diesel that i bought to run my pto generator. John Deere, IH, Case, and Allis Chalmers was mostly what you saw in the field here.

Really apreciate your video's. We are lucky in our neck of the woods to have three single store dealers. North Star Hardware &Imp Co.= New Holland and Agco K&L Tractor Sales= Claas and New Holland Hull Brothers= Case IH and Kubota We are/were a heavy dairy area in west cental Ohio. People don"t understand how much dairy keeps communities alive until the dairy starts to leave. Badger silage wagons....... When I was a kid thats almost the only chopper box you would see in our area. Homan Equipment sold probably 80 a year in 70s, 80s, and 90s.

It's a shame all the small dealers are being done away with. To an extent I understand since it takes a huge amount of money to carry this equipment and the manufacturers don't want as many dealers to deal with. I wish we could go back in time at times.

I wish we could go back to small dealers, month ago I went in to our closest JD dealer, whom I purchased parts/machinery from in the past.............Changed hands in that time twice, I wanted 2 buckets of Hy-Gard which I needed and I was across the street getting things from our New Holland dealer anyhow........Sorry says Green Dealer, can't do a cash sale without you in the computer, I am in the computer I tell them.............They look and find it, claim it was inactive, I said I am here wanting to buy, make it active.............Sorry, can't do that, ok, well use that info and make a new one that is active............Sorry, can't do that, please tell us your info as we put it in.............30+ minutes later I had my Hy-Gard I paid cash for, best part was on the bill they didn't even use my info, said it was "Cash Sale"..................Just confirmed why I buy my oil from our Deere Construction Dealer all this time.
