I can recommend the Revlon one step hair dryer and styler, you’ll save time and your hair will look like you just got it done in a hair salon 👍🏼 2 in 1 girl 💕 so easy to use. Btw my hair is fine and I don’t have as many as I used to but it’s really voluminous and frizzy so you’ll think I have a lot 😅 hard to style but the Revlon is really amazing!

Loving the hair videos! You and I have a really similar texture and cut and turns out we also have a weirdly similar routine/technique! Like even down to the products and using a straightening iron for roots/bangs. You should try adding in a dollop of the living proof style extender after the kerastase oil; it’s great at keeping frizz at bay and locking in the style longer without weighing down your hair (I go a few days after styling as well and I hate the feeling of product).

I love a good long video! I wish my hair was textured. If I use more than two products my head is a greasy mess by the end of the night. Fine hair problems I guess. Will definitely try this curling technique though!

Wow that little bit of info about the reason behind the cool shot button was so helpful. I never use the cool setting on my blow-dryer (other than to blow cold air on my face when I'm sweating from the heat. lol) and I never understood why anyone would use it on their hair. Melissa, your hair!!!! I’m dying!!! It’s so beautiful, I’m always so jealous of your styled curles!! 😭😭😭😭😍😍 My hair is the complete opposite to yours - super straight and no volume at all. It’s get oily so quickly and I have to wash it every other day. It also will NOT hold any curl... 😫 If you randomly happen to pick up any tips for us straight haired girls along the way, pass them on! 😉

As I’ve gotten older my hair has thinned out quite a bit but I still hav heaps of thick long hair. It’s such a mission to wash n style. Lately I’ve been half drying then leaving to cool down before finishing off. Then I iron it then curl if wanting those nice beachy waves. Like my ends to b straight like an S wave😍

All you girls with thick hair you are sooooo lucky. I used to have the thickest thickest hair you can imagine it was so thick you couldn't put an elastic band (and I mean one of those big elastic bands covered with cloth, not one of those skinny naked ones) around it. Then after my second baby was born it ALLLLL fell out. Everyone said it would grow back but it never did. I never thought I'd become one of those grandmas with just 2 hairs on their heads I always thought they were just born with just 2 hairs or maybe they didn't take good care of themselves. But I always took good care of myself I ate well took lots of supplements. I don't remember what hair routine I used to have (my baby is 16 now so it was quite a while back) but it worked just fine for me all my life until my baby was born. Now no matter what I do my hair just won't grow back, I'm taking hair vitamins using castor oil been washing with sulphate free shampoo for 2 years do hair oiling scalp massage.

Do you comb your hair when it's styled like this? My hair would definitely have tangles by the next day but I'm afraid combing it would ruin the curles (if I even have them the next day lol).

My hair is at least as dry and thick as hers, probably more so tbh, idk if you can tell from my pic. It's also extremely long now. After years of this kind of expensive product heavy and exhausting routines I've learned to wash it alternating clarifying shampoo every other wash and a sulfate free shampoo. Then I literally just leave all my normal conditioner in. I don't rinse ANY of it. I comb it through in the shower then scrunch it in. I add more conditioner, then an even thicker conditioner then grapeseed oil. All in the shower to keep as much moisture in as possible. I wrap it in a silk sarong to absorb moisture and excess product then add a styling product, then a frizz/shine serum. Then air dry or diffuse. I'm not fussy with expensive products any more but I seriously used to use as much stuff as she does. The key is really just leaving in a ton of normal conditioner then sealing it in with light oil. I want to cry when I think about how much money and time I used to spend on my hair.

Melissa I have very frizzy hair too ad course and thick even for 72 yrs . I use Chroma captive as a mask, I never use anything but masks either. I also use wow just before blow drying with a brush although I don't spray every section.

The question I have is how are you able to put all of these products in your hair but only wash twice a week? Does your hair not build it all up and get gross and oily at the scalp because that's what happens when I use a cocktail of stuff in my hair. Idk maybe my hair is just weird haha.

Maybe you have low porosity hair I do and that happens to me too. I think girls with higher porosity hair (most people!) can pile on lots of products and have no build up because their hair drinks it all up.

I love the look! The twisting and technique seems too complicated for me though lol so I just stick to my GHD wave wand and the oval barrel gives me a similar look. I think I'll try your soon though because it looks great!

@@MelissaAlatorre Melissa, I bought the GHD soft curl iron, rewatched this video a few times, and after a bit of trial and error, I did it! I love the more effortless look that this produces vs my oval wand. I have a ton of hair so using the soft curl iron and this method makes me look less lion-y. Thanks for making this video! I think I commented somewhere that I did end up hitting my head with the barrel when I experimented with a T3 curling iron prior to getting the GHD haha.
